This works. Due to my equipment restrictions, I am swinging a 10 lb mace 10 reps, then a 35 lb club for 6-8 and then my 12 kg mace for 3-5. The 12 kg mace is starting to feel really light.

Resting between weight increase or between rounds?
@CoachVikingVaughn3 жыл бұрын
You can do either or. As long as you’re focused and getting solid rest to let your arms relax again for the quality of the next set. There should be no rush when swinging with heavier maces.

Would you recommend a steel mace to someone with sciatica? i want to lift weights and have functional strength this seems like something i could do with a light enough weight
@CoachVikingVaughn3 жыл бұрын
If you stick with a 10-15lb…yes and keep the reps minimal with focus on technique. I have some beginner workouts on my channel as well - I wouldn’t recommend this specific workout with sciatica.

If your focus is strength oriented could you do this workout 2 or 3 times weekly?
@CoachVikingVaughn Жыл бұрын
Yes, that would work along with the part 2 workout as well.

This is awesome. Coming from a bodybuilding background (with reps and sets) Is it 10 reps PER SIDE, and 6 - 8 SETS for each mace weight? So about 160 reps (80 per side) per mace weight? Or am I messing everything up? Thanks
@CoachVikingVaughn3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that’s it. The reps start high with lower weights and reverse with low reps for heavier weights each round.
