Good video - thanks. How did you get on with the steering head bracket screws? On mine the two supplied screws bottomed-out on the internal grub screws that lock the steering head, leaving the damper bracket loose. Interested to know if you had the same issue.

For the C bracket that bolts to the stem the 2 holes on each side have a little screw in them in each side . Should I remove them little screws on each side before putting the c bracket on with the longer screws that go into the same holes ?

Yes my brother. Remove the grubscrews already inside the stem (be very careful as they can strip very easy) then use your provided ones (which are longer so they can reach the center bold in the stem)

Got a question does the steering damper that's attached to the front bottom of the stem supposed to move when you turn the steering? After working for 2 months perfect I'm wobbling really bad now

The damper itself it's supposed slide in and out (the piston that is) BUT if you are referring to the base itself that you screw to the steering post NO it is not supposed to move. What are those 2 grub screws for that you have to take out of the stem for the other ones to fit ?

They hold the center bolt that locks your steering column as an extra security measure (look underneath your steering post and you'll see it) so you need to remove them to fit your new ones (longer) that come with your steering damper, provided you purchased the KWheels brand steering damper like the one on my video.

Thank you for the kind comment 🙏 this was the EXA A5 RR1 by Kindshock. DO NOT use this Airshock for the Zero 10X they are cheap and dangerous as they don't fit properly and eventually will fail causing a potential bad accident. Not such of thing as a stupid question. A steering damper helps prevent or minimized speed wobbles (front tires moves too much) at higher speed like 25 MPH or higher. They are indeed very similar BUT the Nanrobot D6+ I don't believe it has the holes where the Zero 10X has the grub screws and you need those holes to mount the Steering Damper from KWheels. Sorry my PEV Riding Brother BUT I don't think it will. Wait until you get it and let me if it does have them at the bottom of the stem column. Hey Carlos, so you’ve installed the steering damper for few months now and use it. I got the same ne for my Apollo Pro. My question is does your front fork of the damper come loose after you ride few times. Even the 2 screws should hold it tight in place. Mine got loosed and i had to re-installed it couple times. The firmness is set to almost softest. Appreciate your feedback.

I noticed in your video you used short screws. I did too but didn’t hold too long. I managed to remove those screws you mentioned by using WD-40 to loosen them. Then I used the long ones sent with the kit. However I noticed the fork did come loose, even the long screws held in place

Oh man, those two holes are a very important part of this Steering Damper setup. It won't work without that IMO.

IMO Absolutely ZERO‼️ you may get away with a very light rain and then you dry it right away after BUT that's about it unless you water proof it yourself.

Update: I travelled in wet conditions, with drizzle for about an hour (from work to home), and no problems at all. Obviously I wouldn't recommend it, but sometimes you have no choice. My main concern is the dirt and grit more than the rain. I definitely wouldn't take it out in pouring rain though. But scooter is perfectly fine. Fully charged (checked ports also before plugging in).

No, there are grub screws (one) on each side of the steering colum that have to be removed first so the provided ones can. Please be careful removing them as they can strip easily. 👊

Are you referring to A5 Shocks? If so they are garbage and unreliable so don't waste your time with them. I took them off a long time unfortunately.

So, I already use the 165mm A5 in the rear suspension, this at more than 3000km, and the improvement over the original suspension was very big, and so far I haven't had problems, nor air leaks... the original springs are very bad, that's why I'm thinking of replacing the front too, I watched your video with the hydraulic suspension sold by falcon Pev, unfortunately the total amount with shipping is impossible for me, my country's currency is worth nothing in relation to the dollar😥

I can't remove my settings screws inside the column of the stem so I can't properly install my damper :(

Are there stripped? (Hopefully not) make sure to use the correct and precise size Allen key brother. Once you are able, you will replace those grub screws with the ones provided with the damper.

Yes that happened to me but with the hex screws on the motors while changing the tires and I ended up drilling to them and using a removing tool also.

@@PEVRidersClub I fixed it and got mine on! I ended up hammering a slightly larger TORX key head and finally got it out. The drill bit I ended up buying to drill through the bolt didn't work because it wasn't harder than the bolt itself so it couldn't actually penetrate it. Oh well it's done and fitted now, damper works perfect!

If I go with the Hero x8 having the 8” wheels I really think I’ll need one. Maybe I’ll give the 10x more thought. Just liked the idea of solid tyres for no punctures.

this Kwheel kit is good, but way too expensive. I converted the yamaha kit with the same damper on my zero 10X, only cost me $65 total. the Kwheel kit cost over $160 Plus shipping on most of the internet sellers.

Nice! That you found an alternative solution brother. I like the KWheels because it comes with all hardware included and easy set up on the Zero 10X BUT nonetheless thank you for the great suggestion 👊🏽😎

my zero 10x nearly killed me today. handlebars and wheels oscillated like crazy and couldnt return to normal, crashed then slid and tumbled about 50ft. how can they sell this shit knowing it will literally throw you onto the ground?

@@PEVRidersClub was going somewhere between 15- 30mph, cant really remember. then i went down a slight hill and the front wheel + stem + handlebar began wobbling like crazy. the wobbling was strong enough to throw me onto the ground and my entire left side is sore and bruised with pain in my left arm. hands tore into pieces from sliding on the road and i can barely do anything but stay home. i get that people like this scooter but i wish i never got it. thing is a deathtrap. no way you can recover from that steering wobble and it happens REAL fast too. the first time i got lucky and wobbling stopped on its own. this time was worse going to try and install a steering damper and maybe mods on the tire/suspension to try and stop the wobble or i might just try and sell this thing.

That is so unfortunate that you got hurt 😞 The steering damper to me a MUST because YES past 25mph IMO you start feeling unstable. Have been riding with the damper for 6 months and is soon smooth IMO.

@@Blox117 to me all scooters are death traps. I broke my arm on a Dualtron Raptor. Then I got into EUCs and I feel much safer now. I can't even imagine myself going over 30mph on a kick scooter anymore. Those tiny wheels are death traps.

It actually does not interferes with anything friend. I'm 6'1 200lbs shoes size 13 and I got plenty of room. Do you have this damper and is that why you don't like? Thank you kindly for you comment 😊🙏🏽
