I liked Delena when the show was running but re-watching the show, I lovvvvveeeee Stelena. I think they ruined the show honestly, delena shouldve been a phase and she should’ve ended up with Stefan. Damon did so many awful things in the beginning to her and to the people she cares about , and when you think about it, it’s hard to excuse those things. He threatened her life, he consistently put her brother in harms way, he abused Caroline in the beginning episodes, hes the reason Matt’s sister died in the first place, he threatened Bonnie, he killed Jeremy, he killed Lexi for personal gain… I mean is Elena a psychopath??? How do you excuse that. Stefan did nothing to her except care and rescue her and he gets dumped.

If I had anything do do with the writing 1) Stelena would have pulled through to the end and they would have been a powerful couple. 2) Damon would have gotten huge character development by letting go of his feelings for his brothers girlfriend, the love of his brothers life. 3) Damon would have found his happiness romantically with someone else by the end. (but then again Damon doesn't need a girl to feel happy - I heard he ends up with Bonnie in the books and honestly im intrigued with that idea) 4) The friendship bond between Elena and Damon would have grown platonically until the very end. (sometimes platonic friendships are far more powerful than romantic relationships)

When I first watch TVD, I was instantly in love with Stelena and it broke my heart that they didn't stay endgame.
