I have a 2020 Laramie 4x4 with less than 35k miles that looks like it's never been driven. Everytime I go for service they attack me trying to get me to trade in for a new one. I am quick to tell them they are insane that I would dump my perfect truck for an 80k truck without a hemi. I love Ram trucks and have owned them since the mid 90s but think I will be driving mine for many years!

Dealerships here in Texas are still charging stupid addendums like nitrogen in tires, paint protection, wheels locks, gps tracker, window etching, etc. One dealership was charging over $2k of addendums. Another dealership said they pride themselves on not charging addendums but add non-negotiable $2k+ for spray in bedliner, tint, wheel locks, edge guard and running boards. I’ve also seen dealerships charging inflatable doc fees. Even the small rural dealerships are trying to sneak in addendums lol.

You are not lying i can 100% vouch , they did this to me in Houston,tx, Cleveland tx, dallas,tx . I travel for work so I went to 5 different dealerships they all refused to give any type of deal, and they all charge addendums except Cleveland tx but they would not give a deal at all, they wanted 74k for a Rebel X and would but budge. I tried 4 times to offer them a decent deal. They would not do it, sad!!

They are nuts! I have owned Dodge/Ram diesels since 1999, my current Ram is a 2017 3500 limited with HO 6.7 and aisin trans. Thought about trading my SUV for a Ram 2500, but realizing my current 3500 may be my last Ram truck. Looked at local dealer a few days ago, a 2024 2500 limited package with the standard 6.7, $95K The 35% off MSRP would just get the trucks down to a realistic price, where the market should be!

To be fair, I thought 35% was supposed to start in a couple months during Summer. Right now, dealers are preparing for their best time of the year when people get tax refunds and plop it on a down payment for overpriced vehicles. Also, I thought I heard that the 35% off would come in form of manufacturer incentive that does not show up in window sticker since they are not adjusting the actual MSRP on the stickers (they did bring down the MSRP for 2025 by about 1k in some models or did not increase it further, wow such a great deaall) Another thing I heard is that even if this 35% off is available right now, the dealers are going against the manufacturer and not heavily advertising or giving it since if new trucks MSRP gets decreased by 35% than the used truck market will get destroyed. A lot of these dealers want to try and ripodf people to pay the current used prices for the used trucks they already have as they prepare to bring the prices down, or else they will lose a lot of money on these used Ram vehicles sitting on their lots if they were to bring the new prices down first before getting rid of as many of those as possible. Those used buyers would be out of luck if they did not do research on where prices are trending for new ones but the dealers, of course, would not lose money. I think there is at least partial truth to that. Also, since Tim taken over, I have heard that a couple of dealers, including one in WA, have been shut down for being hostile to customers. Stellantis plans to get rid of dealers anyways since there is way too many and one way they can legally take a dealer franchise away before the end of the contract is by finally taking action against the ones that are most hostile. Ones that may be trying to keep manufacturer incentives for themselves, etc. Stellantis is speaking and saying that they understand that Carlos Tavares fucked over the American brands by trying to turn them into luxury brands and jacking up prices the most of any manufacturer. They are apparently targeting to bring down prices, and try to sell more vehicles. Of course, Tim and board could be talking up their asses but I did have to give a benefit of doubt. There are some great dealers but also a lot of scum dealers that will make it harder to implement changes. The dealership model demonstrated in plain sight. Give it some time.

Try talking to the dealership or checking their website. Sometimes they don’t have discounts posted on the trucks themselves but if you talk to them about buying one they will tell you. All the dealerships around me are at least 10k off 2025 1500s and I’ve seen as much as 15k off

Why would I go inside when the truck should already be posted for 35% off outside they want you to pay the price on the sticker. They want you to go inside so they can will and deal with you for four or five hours for 35% off when they should be offering it before you even walk inside the dealership like I said overpriced scamming I showed you what more do you want me to do?

Not a single truck that Ford, Chevy, or Dodge makes is worth more than $62k for a HD truck. If you speaking 1/2 ton it should not be more than $40k. These are trucks, not houses.

If they really want to give you a deal, they would post it on the truck outside so when you come in you already know it’s a deal. Why should you have to go inside the dealership and be in there for hours willing and Dylan for something that they should already be giving you if that’s what the manufacture said they should be giving you. They want people to continue to pay for these overpriced trucks. If you’re naïve Car buyer truck buyer like most people are you’re going to go off of the MSRP sticker outside so when they do give you that say $8500 off you think you got a good deal when you really could’ve got $15,000 off or maybe even 20 I’m just saying respectfully.

Ehh, Tim just got back, its the beginning of 2025, not passing any judgements. Its not all the dealers being stupid. There are dealers with Ram Warlocks running in the 40k range now. And that Laramie at 1:20, I've seen Limiteds with the H.O. Hurricane going for less than that.
