I like how the mic captured the percussive acoustic playing in the second setup.

It all sounded good to me. I even liked Andrea s'd or de-s'd. Your guitar sounded great and even the dancers at the end sounded great.

Just like there are now so many great guitars to be had for very little money, it seems like the microphone options are now catching up. This sounded great but especially for the vocals, I was really impressed. The guitar had a lot of low end that sounded great for this type of duo mix. If you were going to put other instruments in with these tracks, I'd probably cut some of the low frequencies from the guitar to leave more space. Awesome job Andrea and Sean! You guys have made a pretty darn good commercial for this mic :-D

I'm gonna have to come back to this to appreciate the tech talk and comparison. A big thanks to Andrea and Sean. I hadn't heard of this song before and I really enjoyed it! I mean, I enjoyed the Oasis version. You're version just isn't for me. It's certainly good and some people will love it. I'm glad. Just be sure to know that I'm grateful you broadened my musical scope.

Andrea's clean vocals were really lovely. Might be an idea next time you're writing to put some "space plus just a voice" in some parts of whatever song it is you're working on. Take away all accompaniment for a few bars. (Might not work so well when you're in metal mode, but even there you could try Opething things this way?) I'm thinking here of designing a song to use that part of particularly her voice. If you don't go the Opeth way, heading a bit country might work nicely, too.

@@dcarts5616 Mine? (Or rather "mine" ?) It's just all my names smooshed together as one, in lowercase. So another version of Sicko Fthew Est. (My mother spat out the interjection, "Fthew" when I was born - very sad story -- and then it just got sadder and sadder after that.) Stupid name, yes, I know. I suppose I should change it, but I'm too lazy.
