@@Eric0225 You always need alot of Dark Matter and until you've become a level 5 crisis, you have access to the galactic market. So yes it is a strategy to actually build your economy to get alot of Dark Matter witch i assume what that empire did

Okay that was excellent. I loved the little extras. It's impressive that this Galaxy got 4 out of 5 of the Fallen Empire types and 3 did the most unhelpful things they can do, with the only exception being the Fallen Empire Spiritualists, because they did nothing at all save smirk from the sidelines. This galaxy was really on borrowed time with this crew, I mean so many different things risked ending the galaxy that it would have taken a miracle to save it.

So fun, and so true... :p This was great work! The Unlucky Empire pretty much admitted to having a Star Eater without admitting it. The AI Empire pointed out someone was sucking all the Dark Matter out of the Galactic Market. The Unbidden themselves pointed out something was wrong with the Shroud. But the entire Galactic Community failed to notice they were at war with the Unlucky Empire for at least a decade, so it's not surprising they all missed the subtler cues... ... the Contingency was right! Also, loved the Fanatic Purifier going to visit the Xenophile when the latter called for others to come and be Xeno-compatible with her... which was her last line ever. Whoops.

@@CerberusGRivers First Megacorps game, no origins yet. I was a Fanatic Spiritualist/Peaceful Empire for a "quiet" first run. It was complete safety for a long time, and essentially an exercise in teching up and building up a fleet capable of getting me through provoking the FE out of virtually nothing. I'm looking forward to having the kind of time needed for Stellaris again :D In the mean time, have fun yourself :)

One I remember was one Empire would vote for closed migration between Federation Members, everyone would go along with it except me and then when I propose opening it again (its so much easier if the Bio Trophies come to me willingly after all), all the Empires who readily voted to ban it would vote to open it again. It was if they just liked having something to vote on.

AI in federations are great... As long as they are also your vassals. The great thing is the catch 22 of: Can't declare war for independance becuase the overlord is a federation member, cannot leave the fedration becuase you are a vassal.

One time i was surrounded by 2 advanced devouring swarms, and had to up military immediately, i became a galactic superpower within the first 60 years and controlled a quarter of the galaxy, i paused the game for 20 minutes to handle all the notifications and rebuilding of the area i took. after an extended peroiod of peace i was declared the crisis because of how powerful i was and how large my empire was, and by the year 2310 i had conquered a majority of the galaxy when all i wanted was to run the galactic community and play it peacefully

No, the Unbidden leave stuff behind. There's NOTHING in the Scourge's home galaxy and with the "Become the Crisis" it's likely they were fleeing whatever is left after the "Become the Crisis". Some also assume from the End of the Cycle but that one is less likely as with the Unbidden it leaves matter and anti-matter behind.

In my most recent game I had a war in heaven between the Xenophiles and the Spiritualists and a couple of years in we also got the Contingency. Ended up in a 5 way between the Xenophiles, the Spiritualists, the Contingency, the Federation of Unaligned Losers and backstabbers (may not be their actual name) and Me. Just a Militant Authoritarian empire living my life, doing my thing, crushing the FA Materialists because "why not?" Anyway long story short it's just me and the Federation of Losers (still may not be there name) who desperately want to get into my good books after I got bored and personally wiped out the Xenophiles, the spiritualists and all 4 contingency worlds (and beat the F out of the Federation at least once while I was at it) left now.
