Hey Michael, how the hell would I make a pinecone in Zbrush from an individual sculpted one of their 'leaves' or whatever they are. It's a kinda complex geometric shape and I'm completely at a loss

Zbrush is developing new things, some of them are very useful, I don't know why people started to hate it. It's still best for organic sculpting and anatomy and also for hard surface. It's really powerful. And Mr.Michael is genius.

This wrap mode stencil is really good with AI generated alphas tertiary details. Stable diffusion has some near perfect tiling options, the resulting depth alphas are not the best but other software can be used to extract it from the texture, like substance 3d sampler. And there you go, infinite alphas at your disposal!
