That is beautiful, I will not step on it with shoes, the dove tails looks very nice with the different wood colors. great woodworking.

Dang, I'm not really even into woodworking and I've been on this page for the past hour. This guy's incredible! A stool like this would have gone nicely in my old stable. I don't own it anymore though. Oh, well. You just earned a new subscriber!

Simple but gorgeous. The only think I'd suggest adding is your brand stamped somewhere with the date. This will probably last a good while. Also good job filming and narrating too.

For those watching, end grain actually glues up stronger than cross grain because the glue can soak into the fibers. The whole, "don't glue the end grain" is a myth.

The reason I ask is because we have an 88 year-old Standard Poodle who is having trouble jumping into bed at night. That's 11 in our years. I need to build him a step-stool so this is a very timely video. Thank you. (not sure I can pull-off that wafer dovetail, but thanks nonetheless.

With these equipments looks ez..i only have a handsaw ,sand papers, hammer, screw drivers, screws ,nails which i do it with lots of "luv" with my hands..😅🤣😅🤣😅

I love the dovetails using contrasting wood, great touch! I already made a "rustic" step stool from pallet wood for my kiddos, I think I may borrow your design for my "fine woodworking" version next.

I've been looking for a safe step stool for my 70 year old wife. This one not only fills the bill, it's beautiful! It looks extremely sturdy, just what I'm looking for. What does it weigh (thinking of her moving it around)? I'd love to make one just like it. Are there plans available?
@jodyswoodworking54777 жыл бұрын
I no longer own it to weight it, as it was a gift. It wasn't too heavy as I recall. The basic dimensions I got from this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4a8XpqYnMtsp68

Glad it's not just me, and his stupid background music makes it even harder to hear him. Had to turn my volume up to full just to hear him but the music was doing my head in I couldn't finish watching

@@rachelhunting Turn the sound off, this was a beautiful piece of work.
@rachelhunting5 жыл бұрын
@@felvo1 maybe a beautiful piece of work. But turning the sound off is pointless when you wanted to hear what he had to say but get blasted out by pointless music that wasn't needed only to not be able to hear a damn thing he says anyway. He should redub what he was doing over the top get rid of the Shitty music and re-upload it. I think people would be great full and their eardrums even more so.
@felvo15 жыл бұрын
@@rachelhunting Would you like him to come around and set it up for you - most of the time I watch with the volume off so as to avoid annoying other people yet I still can follow what they are doing .
@rachelhunting5 жыл бұрын
@@felvo1 no I can build most things I'm not stupid, but I like to hear as to how they do things pick up new tricks or why they do different things. But Yay for you that you don't have the volume on but for others that want to hear what his saying most frustrating when the music is louder than he is
