Man. Steph Curry was my favorite player since he was a rookie. I thought he would be one of the best shooters of all time and one of the best all-around combo guards in the NBA. Those early ankle problems that rocked him were saddening. I never ever thought he would win an MVP and be in the conversation of being the GOAT shooter this early in his career. He is currently second in all-time 3 pt percentage behind his coach and Curry's 3pt makes is already 500 more than Kerr made in his career.. And it's just not the # of 3s made, it's the amount of ways he can shoot it and he can put it on the floor too. This guy will go down as one of the deadliest scorers of all-time and the greatest shooter of all-time.

Miltonman100 Eh. I've accepted Dwight for who he is. He's the best athletic Center in the league and there is no way he can help chip away at a deficit like that. But I guess he got the work because the Warriors weren't settling for just jump shots either in comparison to the Clips who when they got comfortable, were too afraid to go inside.
@Spaced929 жыл бұрын
***** He's been pretty lazy running back to be honest all series, that's why Harden passed to him in the last seconds of game 2, probably thought he was a 3 point shooter being sneaky. Nope just took 2 hours to jog down the court. If he's under the basket he'll try to get a rebound, block or lob though.

Dominic Lobban I'm not fan of LeBron, but to be honest one of the things that makes LeBron great is his skills. His early days in Cleveland all he did was rely on his ridiculous athleticism, but when he went to Miami he started really developing his all around skills and it really shows. That said, last year when Curry said he was the best offensive player in the league and everyone made a big deal about it, he was absolutely right. Curry the last two years has been absolutely ridiculous. Already the best shooter of all time. Period.
@About36Greekss9 жыл бұрын

@supaflylob9 жыл бұрын
atleast steph doesnt freak out like a 12 year old when the ref makes a call thats not in his favor
@t4d0W9 жыл бұрын
Dominic Lobban I think its still a story of 2 different eras and perspectives. Lebron was hailed to be the Cavs messiah since 2003 and sadly, building a team for him which should have been not as complicated for the 9 years he was in Cleveland turned out to be more complicated than it was. THen again with a coach like Mike Brown who looked like a savant because every offensive answer he has _give the ball the Lebron_, Lebron was never able to find the proper utilization of his talents. So he went South, joined Riley's gang and found out after 10 years in the league that him scoring in the post was the most effective thing he could ever do. Curry is a star yet a product of careful planning from coaching architects, analytics and progressing basketball trends. Thompson would emerge as his sidekick but probably his most important teammate in the long run. The Warriors franchise developed a thing for long wing players who can shoot and play defense against the 1-4 positions. And the progress of the team was more dependent on the direction of the coach. Mark Jackson showed one direction which showed how much of a potential individual player Curry was. It took a coaching overhaul and the simple implementation of having a coach and staff who valued spacing and ball movement concepts to turn Curry's talents into something that makes the whole team better.
@p-money339 жыл бұрын
Warriors are on another level right now. They were up 10 before Steph decided to use his cheat code. Barnes was 0-9, Klay was 4-15 or so, and they win by 35. Plus, these Rockets are not too dissimilar from the Cavs, Harden iso-driving, tough mid-range shooting Lebron. Howard the athletic rebounding Thompson, Ariza provides 3-point shoolting a bit like Smith. Unless Irving gets healthy, or more drastically, the Cavs stop doing Lebron iso 90% of the time, Warriors should win the Finals in 5 or 6 games
@p-money339 жыл бұрын
Yeah I see what you're saying but I still think there are similarities. Harden may not be as athletic but he uses iso in a similar way and is one of the best drivers to the rim similar to LeBron. Shumpert is a better defender but every team game plans for curry yet he's hitting 45% of his threes. J.r. Smith is shooting better from 3 than Klay Thompson atm, I can't see that holding up. Fair point about team chemistry but warriors have that too and last year's finals surely proved elite teams beat elite players. Warriors are as good as the spurs were last year if not better however you analyse it. I personally can't see the Cavs winning the way they're playing right now
@23Houstontexas9 жыл бұрын
Warriors cannot beat the cavs in a series

~ShiftR0ck~ agreed, the warriors are far and away better than any team the Cavs have faced, and the bulls won two against them. LeBron is great but the warriors are having one of the best seasons in the history of the league, offensive defensively, net points differential, whatever you wish to measure. I can't see one man beating them on his own, unless the warriors choke. It strikes me of spurs heat all over again

Commentators talk about Harden's improved defense but I don't see it, especially off the ball. Terry's defense is suspect and you showed Josh Smith's defensive problems. However, the Rockets can play pretty good defense in stretches when everyone is engaged. Until Houston's coach emphasizes defense and starts holding guys accountable, I don't see things changing in Houston. And I would like to say Steve Kerr might go down as one of the top coaches of all time. The things he implements and adjustments he make are outstanding. He is getting attention but I don't think he is getting enough credit because of the talent he has.

Hawks had no real answer. One could argue they hid their weaknesses playing a bad team first round and a gimped team the 2nd round. But they got tested against the Cavs and even if Korver was still around, Lebron imposed his will on the series in game 1. I know the Hawks fans are complaining thabo is injured but big whoop. WOuld he have been able to defend Lebron effectively? Meanwhile Lebron without Love went to war with the Bulls and as sloppy as that was, his team came out on top. And put a stamp on the series in game 1 by himself and game 2 without IRVING. Simply put Hawks were NOT READY for the FINAL BOSS. State all the offensive numbers, advanced stats but fact of the matter is, they have NOBODY who can slow down Lebron. And nobody to pick up the slack when they as a team gets cold and Korver is easily taken away as an offensive option. I know Hawks fans got real ecstatic when they finally made the ECF since god knows when. But did They really think there is a shot if the Hawks couldn't beat Lebron himself and his gimped Cavs with a HANDICAP no less? Out of all the Conference Finals teams, Hawks really were true frauds.

Miltonman100 But hey, credits to Houston for showing up the way they did and make things real interesting in the early playoff rounds. With injured teams (and that one that just got their sails taken away) literally choking away their chances you would think some teams just go away. The first 2 games in Oracle was amazing and it really showed progress. I just think Houston may be either 1 high impact player away from being legit or an even deeper bench. Ariza has done the song and dance as a 3rd offensive option and he's not reliable for it.

To me james harden is not a superstar. He seem like he don't even care at times, he will never win a ring unless they pair him up with another superstar, howard is good, but both of them don't have leadership. If harden stayed on Okc they would have won. Now the rockets gotta pair him up with a "Westbrook". Someone that could facilitate. Harden has to be a secondary scorer to be efficient. Like Westbrook and durant, just one scorer can't win. If they don't find him someone they he will just be another melo. A scorer left to die

Besides Ariza (Beverley out), the Rockets don't have any disciplined perimeter defensive players. Howard, Harden and Smith's mentality and focus isn't consistent enough. You wouldn't see him get a chance to attack the hoop in such good position because he would have to do it while taking his man off the dribble too often.

Hypothetically how could Bosh not make a difference. Battle tested and a tenacious defender.

Diego De Souza If the Heat were totally healthy, they easily would've challenged to make the Finals...

I thought harden was past his defensive problems but it seems his bad habits is starting to creep back in. His effort on the curry offensive rebound was abysmal and so too was his help when smith was getting abused
@Jeffinator9 жыл бұрын
They're not students of the game. If they were, Harden would see the importance of team defense awareness and effort. Like MJ the G.O.A.T who is a two way player. Also, Howard would actually learn to post and not just swing his elbows around. Self-proclaimed best player/SG > Harden Self-proclaimed best center > Howard Result: Blockhead losers

2:16 that type of shit makes me angry.this is why we wont win a championship until we get guys who have basketbaLL IQ,PASSION and HEART!Talent can only take your team so far!Give me draymond Green or Tristian Thompson over Josh Smith any day of the week.

Just too much... I don't think we've seen a team this good since the (96?) Bulls team that went 72-10.

Curry is Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf 2.0.He has a very quick release n moves well without the ball.Many people dont know who he is but he was one of the most lethal scorers in highschool but didnt spend much time in the nba.Islam beliefs really kept him from reaching greatness (Which god is more important then anything imo)
@ihavetreefiddy9 жыл бұрын
Miltonman100 FUck Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. Such pain I felt when you compared the two... And Curry is as Christian and ANTI-ISLAMIC as you can get.
@t4d0W9 жыл бұрын
Miltonman100 I've seen you try make the comparison. I dunno if I'd go that far but Curry attacks the hoop a lot smoother that Abdul-rauf, probably because he's taller. But one thing for sure though is Abdul-Rauf formerly Chris Jackson has limitless range and his release was pretty fast. Mark Jackson tried to make a comparison to Mark Price. Price wasn't absurdly athletic and hell, his layups are pretty damn hokey too. But he can practically replicate the same damn release of his 3-point jumper anyhow and he'd still make it swish.

Miltonman100 Bullshit, there are Islam people succeeding all over the world and isn't God supposed to help a faithful person achieve greatness instead of hindering him? Look at Naseem Hased, dude is a Muslim as well and he is a boxing hall of famer with an impressive record of 36 Ws(31 KOs) and 1 L. Islam beliefs keeps people from reaching greatness, lol you are making me laugh.

thebeast12333...one one hand u say people act like Curry is a god, and yet u say LeBron is the best in the world (which sounds like a god to me). That's a really clear DOUBLE STANDARD, sir. Besides, LeBron isn't the best in the world...and neither is Curry. There's only 1 GOAT...and it damn sho' ain't LeBron or Curry. They're both strong players...but leave the BEST IN THE WORLD to the GOAT...ya dig ?

***** to credit Morey though, Harden is worth the money he paid for him. If win shares mean anything, he was 5th a season before and he was first this season. His championship team building vision however is not exactly there yet. Especially if the only solution to support Harden so far is Howard and Ariza. And that they don't exactly have players in the long term built to take on every match up against the WEstern Conference elites.
