While I adored her in the movie, I think a big part of what makes this award feel so special is the sense that we are seeing one of the greats at the start of what is sure to be a breathtaking career. She clearly has a heart for this, and I can’t wait to see what she pours this energy into next ❤

Totally correct. I hope Supporting Actress Oscar goes to Jamie, because I KNOW Steph will be nominated again. She is everything you want in your actor/movie star; intelligent, eloquent, charismatic, phenomenally talented, bubbly with the most endearing laugh, humble, persistent (her Mom discouraged her acting - like most Asian Moms) + not emaciated (sending positive body images to girls, young + old alike) She trained with experimental theater + has appeared on B'way (musicals). I am SURE she has infinitely more gems, to share with us in the future.

They say every story requires a great villain. "For every fine cat, a fine rat" so to speak. While this is not always necessarily true, (Romances for instance) it is true that the more compelling stories are always where you can at least sympathize with the adversary's point of view. Stephanie certainly managed that, while doing what the other actors did to portray multiple versions of herself. Good win, and I hope for another.

Deserved, but deserved more!! Did you see her audition tape?? It's equivalent to her performance in the movie, which shows how good and impressive her acting is, and who knows how far it can go in the future..she was definitely overlooked. Being the antagonist and all...I thought she would win more awards and gain more recognition, but then again, Oscars were always sorta absurd and amusing lolol!
