That is one of Michael Jackson's old girlfriends! She was Dorothy in the Wiz Broadway play in the 70s and Michael and her dated when he did the Wiz movie. Yes before American Idol and all of these shows showing people singing and displaying their talents Apollo theatre did it first. The Apollo theatre goes way back to the 30s and maybe even before that. All the great black singers dancers and comedians had to come through there first and Impress the Black community and that black audience before they went on to do great things. The audience was the judge and every great black entertainer from Richard Pryor to Red Foxxx to the Jackson 5 to James Brown has been there. If you can impress these people then you will impress the world. If you can make it here at the Apollo you can make it anywhere. And that was an actual fact!
