I don't know if it's from going "all in" or if it's just that you were having a great time on this trip with Jeff, but this video brought a lot of happy positive energy into my afternoon. You seem so genuine and excited in this video, it makes me smile. All the best with recovery. Eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted helped my physical recovery. The mental bit is taking a little longer. But having an everything is allowed approach can really be helpful for some. Eventually cravings subside and extreme hunger reduces.

My all time favourite video of yours. I always come to this video when I'm in need of comfort. Your aura just disconnects me from the vain and superficial thoughts my mind processes all day everyday. I feel so connected to you in this video because I feel like I am going through the same thing as you but one year later. I feel discomfort and insecurity when it comes to my weight but you show me how to love yourself the right way. You're gliding through this All In journey with so much grace and vulnerability. As a Newfoundlander, I loved this video so much! A few notes ;-): 1 - Mary Browns is now open in Toronto and Ottawa (and elsewhere in Ontario I think?) so you can get your Big Mary fix! 2 - Did you try Pineapple Crush? 3 - Your Touton looked underwhelming and I implore you to try them again! 4 - Here in Ottawa, we can find Purity products a few places around the city...I’m sure they’re in Toronto too! I got married in Ottawa in 2017 and we served fries, dressing & gravy as our late night snack. I loved seeing everyone’s faces light up like yours did when you tried it! My husband got screeched in (by surprise) and our wedding favour was a little jellybean house Christmas ornament that my aunt hand painted with a little bag of purity candies tied on (peppermint knobs, yum!). Our card box was a lobster trap. NL is such a special place; I love seeing it through the eyes of a “mainlander” :-)

I grew up in northern Newfoundland, and we always had it on Thursday lol. Fish on Friday, soup on Saturday, cooked dinner on Sunday with loads of gravy. I can't remember Monday to Wednesday, it was they way my grandmother cooked 😊

They’re similar, but donair sauce is made with sweetened condensed milk...hence the sweet milky taste in addition to the garlic.

For some reason this got recommended to me today. The dough for the touton is bread dough. If anyone is wondering the difference between the white and dark pudding she ate for breakfast. The dark pudding uses beef blood as an ingredient (more traditionally called blood pudding). The white pudding just has the blood left out.

It’s honestly so refreshing to see someone eating Newfoundland food without acting grossed out about it. I’m literally a vegetarian so I don’t eat 80% of NL traditional food but a lot of people stick their nose up at the food and it always hurts my soul just a bit.

There's a lot of food she didn't get to try, but at least she got to have jiggs dinner, I used to have it every Sunday before I moved away for college. For her next trip over, get her to try pineapple drinks, and go out to cbs, there's a little place called "Ava's Convenience, Takeout & Ice Cream", It's one of the best places I've had take out, in all of the avalon region, I used to go there at least once a month before I moved out of the city.
