You're missing the context of those games. It's like suggesting in games where the ravens score less than 30, his numbers come way down. If Lamar is throwing it 30+ times, it means he's having a bad game. I think it should go without saying that when Lamar has a bad game, his numbers will be mediocre. If you filter on any qb's worst games, you'll find the same thing, often way worse. You're finding a symptom of a bad game and trying to claim it's the cause.

There’s no consistency in mainstream media when it comes to the top QBs. These guys are all incredibly talented, and usually the rest of the team is what determines how well they can perform. Lets go back to the beginning. What were the expectations of Buffalo and Baltimore prior to the season start ? Baltimore was a Superbowl favorite , had acquire a top tier running back and generally considered to have improved . Buffalo was universally dismissed . Questioned if they could even win their division . It was considered a rebuild year . So how do we figure this out ? I say one way is to do a thought experiment . Replace Jackson and Allen with a mid level quarterback . Both teams would have less wins , but if you look objectively at each team . It is clear that Buffalo's floor is much lower than Baltimore. Buffalo lost to Baltimore. Allen played poorly and Balitmore and Jackson played well . It should be considered , for sure , but playing that thinking . Baltimore was expected to take a step back because they lost 3 starters on their offensive line last year, they lost their defensive coordinator, and their defensive coaching staff and players were raided. You were as likely to see the Bengals predicted to win the AFC North as the Ravens. Pundits also felt Cleveland was a threat and so were the Steelers. In short, try again friend.

Also, Baltimore without Lamar Jackson is a proven loser. The team is something like 6-13 in the Lamar Era without him and 4 of those wins Joe Flacco was the starter. Since Lamar became the starter the team is 2-8, without Lamar. It's ok to defend your guy but it's best to know what you are talking about before you try to make him seem more important than Lamar. Simply put, he is not. To further put that into perspective, this year when Lamar's passer rating is below 114... his team does not win. The average passer rating is 93. So, if Lamar is not well above average his team won't win. You CAN NOT say the same thing about Josh.

@nonya6022 Lamar has a great team around him and a top two running back , and a history in the playoffs that is sketchy to say the least . Remove Jackson and put an average quarterback ? You still have a playoff team . Remove Allen , you have the Jets and the Patriots
