This season was about a 8 for me. The crazy amount of injured superstars really prevented it from being a 10, but man it was nice to have no idea who was making it out of each conference for the first time in a while.

8.5-9, 75th anniversary, 2 historic teams in the finals, record setting buzzer beaters, multiple 50 point games, the race for the playin tourney, all the narratives surrounding teams, it was a hell of a season and what a way to end it, having a point guard who was doubted his whole career finally getting his place in the top 10 all time

I originally had the season at a 7 but you convinced me it should be higher. I think the big point you missed out on was the MVP race this year, maybe the best of all time. Embiid, Giannis and Jokic all having historic seasons is incredible. I think Curry is 100% in the argument for top 10, if he wasn’t already. Interested to hear who you would replace with Steph? 👍

This felt like a legitimately competitive season. I enjoyed the unpredictability that came with it, especially with the absolute collapses of both the Lakers and the Nets. Wiggins was phenomenal this entire run. He did exactly what he was supposed to and went from a “bust” to a player that you can rely on in crucial games. Wiggins has grown so much and honestly i think the Warriors management and coaching staff deserves so much credit. Granted they had a few seasoned veterans but they also had so many new young guys to win their first ring playing with them. I think the way the warriors coaching system & management works is just what makes this team so elite. They know how to blossom talent when they see it.

For me the best season I’ve watched ever is 2016, so its really difficult to top a season like that. I would say overall, regular season its roughly an 8.5 for me. I loved how the 2020’s haven’t been the era of the superteam like the latter half of the 2010’s Every single year in this decade, weve had a new champion which I personally love seeing. Loved seeing Ja and Tatum blossom into that next set of young superstars, obviously the Curry records, Lebron just being amazing even though the lakers weren’t, and the surprises this season had as well. The playoffs are surprisingly to me the weak spot of this season, compared to other seasons. Injuries prevent a fully healthy nuggets team, the grizzlies lost ja early. I will say that the fact the Suns lost in the fashion they did was pretty darn surprising no one really expected it, and i for sure didnt expect the only sweep of the playoffs to be the reverse of last years 2-7 matchup in the nets and Celtics. The conference finals were just for the most part blowout exchanges. I am happy with the end result, finals were a solid 8 for me.

@Scorpion-bd1ow
@Scorpion-bd1ow 2 жыл бұрын
@@prozac. i think for me '18 was a lot like '17 in the sense that i knew that the warriors once they got to the finals it was a for sure guaranteed ring at that point. the true finals was the western conference finals as either Houston or golden state was beating Cleveland, or should i say just LeBron James by himself. '19 I enjoyed but it wasn't really one of my favorite seasons because of the fact the regular season for me was so dreary. I think it was in part due to the fact the warriors have been dominant so long with KD that it made at least western conference games not really nice for me to watch, which sucks as i am a west coast guy myself and being a warriors fan since the era of the we believe warriors it was very repetitive that they kept winning so much. i will say however watching the Eastern Conference in 2019 was amazing I'll admit, from Philly, to Brooklyn's surprise appearance, to the Bucks making it to the conference finals, the east for me was way more fun to watch than the west because everyone still knew it was golden state. The only real surprise I will say that I got from the west well really three things: the fact Dame hit that shot was absolutely insane. The rockets fully healthy still lost to the warriors without KD and even though I saw the Blazers losing to the warriors, them getting swept by them without KD and Klay playing pretty alright was shocking although Steph in the latter half of the 2019 post season basically reminded us that he is that guy and he pretty much outplayed dame by a pretty large bit that series. the '19 playoffs were great i will say that for sure.

As a warriors fan, 10, easily Curry’s biggest ring on his best Finals. He ran away with his legacy this time. And that’s not to talk about the other stories Klay - showing he can return from ACL and Achilles tears and his defense since game 4 has looked almost 100% and when he gets hot he can still shoot your lights out. He hit big shots every series with games on the line. GP2 - couldn’t even stay on league roster a year ago and now played a pivotal part in a championship defense Draymond - showing that his dud games didn’t stop him and that’s his unorthodox style of play does contribute to wins Wiggins - showing that he is not a bust, turned into an elite 3 and D wing arguably outplaying tatum in terms of impact Looney - just being idk a rebound inhaler, he was huge Jordan Poole - showing that he indeed does hoop with bad bitches in the front row

As my first nba season this is an amazing one. I did watch a little bit of the finals last year but this is my first time from regular season to playoffs to finals. This MVP race was really tight, this rookie class is so far great, the trade deadline was really great and affected a lot of teams and their futures, the resurgence of the Warriors is great, Luka and the Mavs making the WCF, one of the greatest turnarounds in basketball in the Celtics, the Grizzlies being great and having a young core, and the records that was broken. (73 point difference, the Suns wins, the youngest 55 win team, Jokic’s PER and I think he was the only one with 1000, 500, 500) the only things we’re the blowouts and the injuries. Jamal Murray, MPJ, Kawhi, PG, Zion, AD, Dame, and Bradley Beal all missed a lot of time, if not the whole season. I’m excited to see all of these players. Edit- Also Demar DeRozan’s bounce back year and Klay coming back and winning is great. Also shoutout to all of the young players being great. Luka, Tatum, Ja, Trae, Zion. 10. For many reasons. I like when the season (and its outcome) has a bit more mystery. There's no definitive front runner. No unbeatable superteam. Therefore watching the league this year - the peaks and valleys of certain players has been rewarding. Chris Paul and Booker's dominance. The Heat's balanced team. Jokic's unbelievable talent carrying an injured Nuggets. Similarly Doncic's skill carrying a bunch of role players in Dallas. Tatum's improvements all season long (including their second half). The story all year in Cleveland or Chicago. Giannis' continued 2 way greatness. Lebron's individual greatness (despite the team's lack of success). Same in Brooklyn with Durant's greatness despite the team's average performance. The shift in power where the top of the mvp conversation are all big men - and Embiid carrying that 76er team to title contention. I didn't think much of the Raptors at first or the Grizzlies - but watching Siakam or Ja has been special. Despite the Hawk's dip - Trae's continued growth is fun to watch. What the Hornets are becoming looks electric. The Pelicans in the first round of the playoffs gives me a lot of hope - they could be special. On the Spurs, Murray had what felt like a breakout season. And for those on the bottom - there's a lot of hope and assets. Then to cap it off - last night seeing an all time great in Curry add to his already all time legacy was the ultimate feel good happy ending. Just like the end of last season - I find it so satisfying to see a Champion be a team that was home grown and not the product of super team building. Overall, it felt like there was literally something for everything this entire season... where the fun of being an nba fan was shared throughout the whole league and not horded by any one or two fanbases. And it's a perfect reflection of the champion, Curry, who dominates and wins in a way that includes others - Curry's successes no matter how much it's all about him - he makes sure that his success can not be defined without the success of those around him. That just doesn't feel common. 10 out of 10.

Klay coming back from a 2 year long span of injuries, curry breaking the 3pt record (in a “slump” year) and overall the vibe of this team was just winning. As a Boston Celtics fan, I would rate it a 9.5/10, the Celtics over the past 2 years after Kemba walker fell off basically, we were looking for the next piece and we were trying tons of different things to make this work. We had Schroder, Josh Richardson, and Enes freedom, and none of them really fit with the rest of the players. I think the biggest thing that led to the turnaround of this season was discovering that we don't need anyone else and the key to this team was to just have the players play better and work with each other and when that developed on defense, it then developed on offense. The way Ime is using smart as our starting point guard as opposed to combo guard who is sometimes off-ball is a great change. Then also running Horford and rob Williams at the same time is also a great thing. I also think our defense is brilliant. The way that we have smart and white to guard the guards, Tatum and brown to guard the wings, and then have Horford guard the bruising post-playing center with rob Williams being the elite help defender just makes for a fantastic defensive scheme and it fits our team perfectly. Then just to see that turnaround happen was just like a story for the Celtics. I think that the Celtics should make little to no off-season moves besides bringing our same players back. I think something that definitely could help us is getting us another scorer off the bench if we can get them for cheap. In the finals when Tatum wasn't doing much, white wasn't doing much, Horford was doing what he could, brown was exhausted, and smart was in foul trouble. It would be nice to have maybe a guy who could get some momentum rolling kind of like a Dennis Schroder type guy or derrick rose. I think Payton Pritchard could be that guy if he develops further. I think the reason why we didn't win the finals is that Jayson Tatum's inconsistency was exposed. This season he's been a bit inconsistent at times and it is in the finals with the Warriors' defense, Tatum was exposed. Obviously, you could say that no one else besides brown stepped up also, but that's what this team is built for. It's built around Tatum and brown to be our best scorers, and with Tatum typically being better than brown, it works out. But when we were on the biggest stage facing elimination in the finals, Tatum didn't show up. All in all, this was a storybook season for the Celtics and with our defensive scheme, I feel like they could have a record-breaking type season next year.

I appreciate this objective view coming from a Celtics fan. It’s dumb to hear all these people calling them bums because they didn’t win the Finals. They had a great season and there were many times when it seemed like they might run away with the series. Horford was shooting out of his mind at times. Williams is such a great bench player. In the end Steph was just too much and the stage was too big for them. They will have another shot at some point, and it may very well come against the dubs again.

9, playoffs were very competitive and there were some amazing results (mavs over suns, Boston sweeping the Nets, Heat pushing it to 7 games without Tyler Herro, etc) with the Warriors cementing a dynasty without KD. It also feels like the new generation is coming into their own. Luka is arguably top 5 in the NBA, Tatum won the East, Ja Morant had an incredible season, and this rookie class had a great year overall. We saw the death of the superteam, the Lakers were the biggest disappointment in NBA HISTORY outside of MAYBE the post trade Nets in the early 2010s, KD and Kyrie got swept by a young fun team, and Harden was flipped to Philly, breaking the Nets team up. Finally, Jokic got back to back MVPs. I'm a Kings fan (😪) so I have no love for the Nuggets, but I think Jokic got exactly what he deserved, to be recognized as an all time great who I believe will retire as a top 15 player all time (as long as he gets some better playoff success).

Klay making his NBA return 4. The MVP race between Jokic, Giannis & Embiid 5. The Lakers not even making the Play-in 6. The Pelicans making the playoffs after a terrible start to the Regular Season 7. Pat Bev’s reaction after beating the Clippers in the Play-in Game 8. The Nets getting swept in the 1st Round 9. The Sun’s Game 7 collapse 10. The Celtics going on an Eastern Conference “Revenge Tour” 11. And of course, The Warriors winning it all once again and Curry finally winning his well-earned Finals MVP There are many more highlights and lowlights of the NBA’s 75th Season, but these are the ones coming from the top of my head. I really think Curry getting that 5th championship would put him on that next level of GOAT's. That would tie him with Magic, Duncan and Kobe for rings. I think it's very important to get that 5th for him mostly for Curry vs Magic debates. People can't bring up the extra ring if he gets the 5th one. He firmly enters 1a 1b territory with Magic. He's top 10 all-time for me even without it. I personally push Bill Russell to 11th, Bird to 10th and Curry to 9th on my list as of now but with another ring? It would be incredible for his legacy to see him move even further up that list and I'm genuinely hoping he does it. I love that this Warriors team was built, not bought. They remind me a lot of those 2014 Spurs how they dealt with some injuries and players not looking themselves just to come back with some young pieces that complement the stars and it all just works cause they run their organization so damn well. Kenny is one of the only real basketball heads out there who can just appreciate the game for what it is with no bias. I respect that.

Ever since I started watching Kenny he has further fueled my drive to just “Enjoy Basketball”. I have always wanted just good basketball rather than me rooting for one specific team. That being said, this year sucked. I would give it a 6 at best. As a neutral fan, this playoffs had to be one of the most boring playoffs I have watched in recent memory. Cool to see the warriors win again but the first round of the playoffs was the most entertaining. After that it felt like each game was decided by halftime

The season was an 8. The 1st half was dry but really turned up once less players were getting covid. The season was competitive and there were good stories

For Curry, Game 6 was a legacy game for the point guard. The NBA's most prolific 3-point shooter now has four rings, two league MVPs, two scoring titles, one Finals MVP and an All-Star Game MVP. That puts Curry in a legendary club that includes only Michael Jordan and others

as a warriors fan 10, cause we experienced 2 terrible back to back years but being back on top again feels nice, as an nba fan it was a 9. This was one of the few seasons were almost every playoff team has a shot at winning it.

10/10, as a Warriors fan this is literally the dream season, from Curry breaking records, Poole being sensational, Klay getting back, and winning the chip. Although as an nba fan as a whole i’d say 8/10

Definitely a 6.5/10. I don't there were enough legendary playoff moments/performances that stood out to me, and I only remember one close game 7 from this entire playoff (Boston vs Miami). I thought the finals were actually pretty good but there was a long stretch of playoff blowouts that was nearly unwatchable. I liked how a lot of the narratives in the NBA "storyline" progressed. Luka finally winning something, Steph getting a finals MVP, Klay returning from injury, Jimmy Butler legitimizing himself as a playoff superstar, etc. I just don't think the actual play in the basketball games was as entertaining as those storylines.

As a Mavs fan, this year was a 10/10. Watching them is so much fun and I haven't been this excited for them in a long time. As an NBA fan I would say 8.5/10. Season was overall unpredictable and there was no overwhelming favorite to win it all. Just hated all the blowouts in the playoffs but overall fun season

I feel like this season for me was an 8 and I'm not sure how much of that can be attributed to being a dubs homer lol. But I just thought the 75th anniversary season was a super solid and memorable season. The opening day was fantastic with Steph's triple double over the Lakers. The Bulls, while ending where expected, came out unexpectedly good to start. The turnaround of the Celtics throughout the season. Covid had some presence but it didnt derail the season; honestly, we got to see some unknown players get some spotlight thanks to those extra contracts the league allowed. The MVP race was a debate pretty much the whole way through, I genuinely can't remember the last time the MVP race was that close. The amount of young talent that this draft class showcased was incredible. The rookie of the year race was competitive, so was coach of the year and most improved player. The amount of nuance that had to go into debating different teams and awards was just so refreshing to see in the NBA. I always thought the Warriors would be champs, but the legit discussion over how the playoffs were going to go was spectacular. I love parity. Steph Curry also defeated the most god awful narrative in NBA History. Maybe I will bump this season up to 9 lol. Idk, the only thing that kind of brought it down for me was I wish that the reffing stayed more consistent throughout, because I really liked how the season started out. The whole media mess with Ben Simmons and Kyrie was lame, but lowk could also be a plus because NBA love drama. I really enjoyed the playoffs.

I'd give the season an 8. So many storylines!! You had the Lakers Team w/ championship goals that had LeBron, Russ, AD, Melo etc not even make the play in game. Kyrie and the Vac storyline, Harden- Simmons BLOCKBUSTER trade. Celtic's unbelievable turnaround. The upset Dallas had over the #1 team in NBA (Suns). The messy series between the Grizz- Warriors. One of the greatest all star games ever. KD, Kyrie & the Nets getting Swept. Miami being one shot away from the NBA finals and the greatest comeback of all time. Curry's legendary 43 point game that will go down in history..this season has to be one of the most entertaining of all time.

Season was a 10 but that’s easy for me to say as a warriors fan for obvious reasons. we had a lot of doubters. a great start (18-2) a mid season slump, stephs shooting numbers looking like tour dates at the start of the 2022 year, draymonds back injury, klay finally coming back, gp2 a injury, being an underdog the whole finals, and finally being back after 2 years of no playoffs and injury after injury after injury. feels great!!💙💛💙💛

Honestly I give this season a 9 for me obviously there is some bias being a Warriors fan but I will say there was a drought in the regular season of just bad warriors games but honestly watching the whole season it could not have been written from boston doing so bad at the start of the season then calling it out on twitter that they were going to shock the nba after the all star weekend and making it to the finals to go vs an amazing story line of steph curry going for a finals mvp was just amazing to watch.

9/10: the crazy scoring month for superstars, 8 buzzer beaters in one month, scoring title competitiveness, crazy good MVP race and an unpredictable playoffs. Wish more stars weren't injured. Kawhi and PG would have gone crazy; can't wait for next season.

I’d say a 9. This is mainly because im a warriors fan but i liked this season more than the other warriors championship seasons because this one was more exciting and it wasnt like I already knew the warriors would win from the start of the season. The only reason why this season isnt a 10 is because of injuries. This made almost all the playoff games in the west so dry due to none of the star players playing.
