I'm not much of a fan of the books, but seriously, give her a break. Even though the books are not that good, you can actually see how much she loves writing, and the length of her books show it. Plus, look at how much she has improved with The Host? Authors now praise her, and writing became so much good. If you don't like the books, that is okay, I don't mind when u give your opinion, but when you mess with the author? That's just too much.

I absolutely love the Twilight series, it's just amazing. I'm so in love with Bella, she's so sweet and innocent, but at the same time does not want to be percieved in that way. I love these books! One of my favourite series ever!

Twilight is an amazing book, never have I been so into characters and their relationships, I just couldn't stop reading, I was up all night like it possesed me..The scenes are so real I could feel everything Bella felt, amazing..can't wait to read the other books!

I think Stephenie Meyer is a wonderful writer! I have read all of the books and I am rereading them right now. Twilight is really something you can relate to and I think it's amazing! And all you haters saying she sucks and shes full of herself and is a crappy writer, get a life! You wouldn't know a good book if it bit you in the butt! How can you say she is full of herself ? Shes not focused on the money and the fame, shes doing what she loves! I look up to her and I think she is just amazing!

Her writing may not be the best in the eyes of someone whose majored in english...but an author isn't turning their works to teachers to grade. The whole point is getting the story out there, and I'm glad that Mrs.Meyer shared her world with us.

In france, Stephenie's work are considered far more thoughtfully than in the States. Many consider her twilight series as "chef d'oeuvre" (masterpiece).. as do I. One thing is clear, the novels are not "teen" novels. They are merely novels about teens. Of all four books I think "Eclipse" is by far the best. You can see her growth as a writer in each book. She was always a great storyteller, but with Eclipse she became a great writer.

He openly admits he STALKED her for MONTHS. He TAKES THE ENGINE OUT OF HER CAR to avoid her going to see Jacob, he ISOLATES HER FURTHER, to the point that when Edawrd and his family break all contacts with Bella in 'New Moon', she reacts as if she cannot continue living, not to mention the humongous amount of psychological abuse Bella both goes through from Edward and makes Jacob go through.

@AugustineEmmeline I was so scared that one of the Twilight fans will full rip on this. But then not all fan fiction writer's are like her. I read some pieces that came up with better story lines and more depth in characters than the original author. However when we hear "fan fiction" it is often deemed to be not of good enough quality. It is a shame at times to know that there are plenty of writers on their blogs and websites that come up with better material and can not get published.

I think, that first - "twilight" is the best, because the story is most interesting, when you don't know nothing about book characters, their secrets. In general stephanie meyer had really interesting idea to white about human and vampire. I had good time, when I read S. Meyer books. I just can say thanks for writer, good job

"It was originally called Forks." For once, I agree with her! Calling the first book "Forks" would enable the subsequent ones to be called "Spoons", "Knifes" and "Plates". Together, the series would be known as the "Cutlery Series". Imagine how much more interesting it would be.

@DeathlyDavid Don't get me wrong, she knows how to string words together and how to move the story along. It's great that she's introduced fantasy stories to so many people and getting kids to read novels. Fantasy is my favourite genre. LOTR is my favourite book and Terry Pratchett is my favourite author. I just think it's a shame her original purpose was just to make money and not be very creative in the process. I really wanted to like Potter but I gave up trying after the 3rd movie came out.

Just to mention, Vlad Dracula wasn't a King, he was a Prince. Wallachia was a Principality, not a Kingdom. And Dracula was not the first Vampire novel. "Carmilla" by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu was published in 1872, predating "Dracula" by 25 years. The first actual Vampire story was "The Vampyre" by Lord Byron's doctor John William Polidori in 1819

I found it on google because I needed the spelling of her name.] People hate the book because it's very poorly written. The plot is dire and you need alot of patience. It's spawned hundreds of fantards who won't listen and accept other opinions. The book uses words that don't exist. The writer loves the letter I, to the point where there is 6 i's in 4 sentances. A monkey can write better. Atr least the story would go somewhere and have a great ending (hoy Hoy hoy)

Meyer does not have the same intelligence and creativity as Rowling has. After watching interviews of Rowling I saw that she is a really passionate person, especially for her gift with writing. She truly loves her characters and every single word that's in those books are simply magical!!! Rowling is a TRUE writer!!!

Like what would be the perfect thing to make book 2 more exciting for kids? well giant spiders trying to harry and ron! and the scenario which slughorn gives harry his memory. Well aragog's funeral! She is creative in the plot but i agree about wormtail, always knew he would be the one to betray them and aragog, well i still like it.

I just can't stand the way people watch the first movie to judge the whole thing, such as theblackcatofchronos (Probably)... Considering all he said that was actually true was "vampires don't sparkle in the sunlight." By the way, Eclipse is the best one. It gets really good about half way into it. These types of books aren't the only ones I like. I love "I am Legend." by Richard Matheson. :D

i know from experience that you cannot write an adequate book or story in a matter of months. it takes research, thinking, plotting, and a lot of revising and adding or taking away. you have to flesh out characters and come up with intricate plots and sub-plots, take notes on your thoughts, and oh, so much more! it takes much more time than a matter of months to write an adequate novel.

i agree it seems quite superficial and for love to be properly demonstrated meyer should have included "pointless" yet "loving" scenes within the books, not scenes where they are continuously questioning eachother or describing how it was "difficult to remember to breathe" but, real emotion. i think she gives edward the upper hand, he is more descriptive about his love for bella. ive read midnight sun and he talks about her personality traits "selfless, caring, responsible" and hence his love

All of them. & guess what? I was impressed.Maybe, you should try it. I mean, has Meyer done anything wrong, only if writing a best seller is wrong? Woman's got imagination.And we should be happy, that there are people on this world giving us a reason to read, a reason to love. So thmbs up 4 wizards AND vampires!
