This was crazy. First off, Layla. She lied about dumping Jamie over him losing his job to hide her cheating on him? Um... Even if Layla HAD dumped Jamie for losing his job, how is that any better than what actually happened? Out of EVERY excuse she could've made, why this? This doesn't make Layla seem any better than she actually was. And out of all the people she decided to cheat with, WHY did she choose the rival of her father's company? For OP's dad... Really? You sided with people you didn't even fully know, never asked OP what they did, and kicked her out when you needed her the most, not checking the security cameras? Geez, it's almost like OP's father WANTED his company to go bankrupt! With regards to OP being asked to change rooms... Does it matter what room Layla moves into? And why should OP have to suffer from something that doesn't affect her and which was beyond her control? It would've been temporary anyway, and during a hard event like a breakup, you should be glad to get any help at all, regardless of how small. Hearing myself, it sounds like this story is fake, but then again, knowing humanity... I wouldn't be surprised if it was real.

The Father should have trusted Op, but of course he chose his new Wife and Step-Daughter over her. So now not only has he lost his Wife, but also his Daughter. What the actual f*ck? She went through a bad breakup, so she needed a bigger room? When she's feeling down, does she look around the room, does she think, "this really makes me feel a little better about my breakup. I couldn't feel this way in smaller bedroom".
@TiaraStarbrighter6 ай бұрын
Fun story but sounds suspicious. It's a little out there that they guy who knocked up the step sister was the father's direct rival. Also, how stupid would he have to be to admit he was committing corporate espionage even if he didn't suspect he was being recorded. Finally, assuming that the recording could be admitted to court, the rival would be opened to not only criminal prosecution but also sued by the father, which would help cover the losses.
@Linksworld23896 ай бұрын
Sounds fake you have proof of corporate espionage which is a felony dad would be entitled to so much money Raymond would have nothing by the end of the lawsuit neither would the step daughter or now ex-wife seeing as she knew all this was going on and allowing/aiding/encouraged it. Non of this makes sense, plenty of garbage parents would do this by putting a significant other over their own children it happens often so I got no issues with the honesty of that.
@TiaraStarbrighter6 ай бұрын
Good points. Also, wouldn't it make more sense for the stepmother to ask the father for money for the abortion, even if she lied and said it was for something else? MUCH SAFER than agreeing to work with a direct competitor of the father's business for what... less than a thousand dollars?

Sounds like entitlement all around even as I think the stepmother in the story is wrong. It does paint the OP as someone who doesn't want to grow up: staying not only in their childhood home at 23 but also going to work for their father as well. Sure, there are logical reasons to do both, such as saving money or getting to know the business that you expect to inherit someday. Yet, it makes her world a very small one where she isn't growing as much as she could.
