Follow these steps www.identitytheft.gov/ , also file a police report the officer will help confirm that you're the real you and if someone attempts fraud you can use the police report to help verify that it's fraud.

@@xocrow1120 Not that i know of right now. i've never filed taxes myself cuz i'm dependent but i will file my own in january so we'll just have to see by then. Gonna need to file ASAP and notify the irs, hopefully they will let me set a security PIN by that time cuz they won't let me right now... Also will need to make an SSA account to see if my number is being used, they also won't let me right now. Super frustrating I have to wait all this out.
