Steroids to treat Interstitial Lung Diseases - necessary?

I have upper lobe predominant sarcoidosis fibrosis. My pulmonologist put me on Ofev 1 year ago. Thank God I've been stable. I never was on any steroids. Thank you for all you do for us with this disease ❤

I'm desperate to go on steroids or any treatment. I have considerable lung scaring and my liver seems to be affected also. The side effect of Prednisolone seem worth it for me as Sarcoidosis is suspected.

What about metotrexate for controling general inflamation, doctor? Intersticial lung disease and lupus or some immune disease not well defined during last 25 years. Some says there are more than one disease living together.

My wife (age-26) has been diagnosed with ILD-PPF(lung biopsy done), CT shows lung fibrosis . from Last 3 months she is on medication omnacrotil started with 40 mg, after one month 20mg. Her brother died of a similar ILD- disease at early age 19. Are there any timelines for my wife's conditions, ?

If there is a suspicion that house mould could have caused ILD (with scarring on CT scans) how does one go about having the appropriate medical investigation to confirm such suspicion? There seems little point in treating something when a person has to continue to breathe in the source of their dilemma on a daily basis. (UK)

Hello dr. What do you think of taking the medication pirefidone or called sentient? I could not take Ofev was to many side effect s … but so far so good on the Enbrient. But I was on prednisone for many years for my Rhuematoid arthritis been off it for a while an u hav to be weened off the prednisone
