One of the things I told God, and is now my prayer is "God, I never want to go through this life just PRAISING you, but never SUBMITTING to you." The problem with so many folks is that they'll praise God all day long for his goodness, mercy, grace, blessings, protection and other benefits, but many will NEVER submit to him. They want the best of both worlds. They do all kinds of ungodly mess, while professing to be in a relationship with God! Many SOUND good, but inwardly, they are deceptive, ungodly, and corrupt. And Paula White sitting up there listening to this mess, like a RAGGEDY rag doll shaking her head uncontrollably!

As I understand the Gospel, with Jesus having died for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3), the assurance is that we're justified and reconciled by the blood shed by the crucified Christ (Romans 5:9-10). When aligned with Ephesians 2:8-9, Scripture makes us mindful that there's no work to either earn or lose salvation, given it is by grace through faith. How does such a god account for those who resist temptation and remain steadfast against evil? How does the god of the Gospel account for those who do not covet that they resist bearing false witness, stealing, adultery, and murder? Given their faith in the Gospel, is it for naught? Is it for naught, given there are various moments in Scripture when Paul and James declare that none can keep the law?

What I am asking is, how does a god that insists salvation is without works, and yet there are those who live to resist temptation and endure evil, all the while remaining steadfast in that they do not take no the image of thieves, liars, murderers, and adulterers. My context for the question bears witness to the legacy that is the Negro slave. For us to be free, our ancestral fathers did not take on the image and likeness of those who oppressed them. So, my question is, how does the god of this church and its Gospel speak to their struggle? Was their resistance to not succumb to take on the image and likeness of those who oppressed them for naught? If not, then how does this god account for the legacy of their perseverance? How does this god speak to them?

And Paula White just nods and goes along with it. Her understanding of Biblical Christianity is in the negative. Not only does she not know Christ, she is antichrist. Steve Harvey is a pragmatist. He's experiencing external success, fame, and fortune. Thus he probably thinks he's ok. It's no different than when a former President said during his campaign that he doesn't need to ask God for forgiveness. (Paula was his spiritual advisor, so the poisoned apple doesn't fall too far from the tree here). This is why we need sound teaching and preaching from the pulpits of our churches. People don't know that they are sinners and stand condemned before the Holy God. They think they're "good enough." I had a neighbor tell me one time that he believed he was "righteous enough." Unfortunately that conversation didn't last very long. Pragmatic self-righteousness is rampant.

If God doesn't judge behavior why change your behavior??? That would mean anybody can get in then. People in the Bible did wrong in the eyes of God and they are in heaven. For example David did for Bathsheba but yet he was a man after God own heart though. We can't have both God is not going to judge behavior but yet we need to change our behavior on Earth. Nobody can go to hell for works either. You can go to hell for works how you can't go to heaven for works??? The Bible is a behavior based book. Please answer that question for me please. You go to hell for works by trying to get to heaven by said works. The word tells us our works are as filthy rags. We are to do good out of gratitude for our salvation, but that salvation comes from having faith in God's finished work through Christ's sacrifice on the cross. When we put our faith in Christ we become sons of God, in Hebrew this is bene HaElohim, this is a direct creation of God. God is good and we are to mirror that, but we have two nature's though fighting with one another, the flesh and the Spirit. The word tells us there is nothing good in the flesh that is where our sin nature resides so while we are here in the flesh we will sin. That is why we are to depend solely on Christ because He is God so in Him there is no variation or shadow of turning. He gave us His word ( everlasting covenant ) that those that place their trust in Him will be saved.
