This is my favourite song of all time, I am having it played at my funeral. Steve Marriott was an amazing talent, the energy and genius of the man was never really recognised and to lose him in a fire was unforgivable! God Bless Steve!

Oh my God...how sad. 😢 Mr Marriott, live on, if only for the generations that never saw, and maybe never will, know what you did to change attitudes of small minds to make the world a more tolerant and accepting place for new generations. Maybe you didn't even know. I can't talk for anyone else, but people like you made a huge difference to the difficult childhood my sister and I had. We became brave enough to leave our home in secret one night, hitch-hike across australia as far away as we could get and take our chances on the streets. I know that sounds dramatic to people reading this. But it wasn't then. We did do it a bit tough. Anyway, many years ago now and much water under the bridge since then. Thank you. RIP ❤

I know. Just another reason I HATE tobacco, and especially cigarettes. I think his abilities on the guitar were still blossoming. What might he have obtained? Tobacco robbed us of Steve. (By the way, I used to smoke, but I quit over 40 years ago.)

Blimey.......that made me shiver.........agree with all the comments.....I never knew any of his later stuff was recorded I saw him and the other players in this band at the Irish Centre in Digbeth Birmingham and he was wearing a bib and brace trousers then .....he died a few weeks later what a loss to Rock RIP Stevie you will never be forgotten......and thanks for this amazing video

I was lucky to see him in Rehoboth DE. We can came back down for second day soundcheck and Marriott bought me a beer and played pinball with me. We had good weed and got invited onto the bus after that show. Spent some time with Goldie talking about the Vietnam war. How lucky to have caught time with Marriott just before his passing.

Albert , For those of us that grew up with Humble Pie & The Small Faces & Steve's solo career he already has , For the kids today that may never dig what he was & did it's their loss . Saw Humble Pie twice back un the days when Frampton was with them & those are memories that will never go away. As good then as it is today. Timeless talent will be here for those that missed the boat.

I was Steve Marriott and his Packet of three band (I think he announced that they were The Official Receivers from then on) at a pub in Finchley back in about 1984 or 85. They were amazing. I remember getting the last tube back to Tooting Broadway right across London with a bursting bladder and staggering bent double into a shop doorway to relieve myself once we'd got back to Tooting. He's sadly missed, both a great voice and a great guitarist
