@Berounes all top stations now have 20 and less ms ... and they work pretty good as a UPS 👍 Regular UPS have 7 and less ms and cost about $150.

Wish they made a dedicated UPS true sine wave unit that competes directly with CyberPower and APC, 8 protected outlets 1500wh/1000w etc

I use my River 3 as a UPS for my router, (3) Blink camera hubs and 2 Pi servers for home monitoring and vpn. The whole setup uses 29w which fits the River 3 perfectly. I get about 7-8 hours of backup power on UPS. When I first hooked up the unit, I powered the Pi servers through the USB-C port, thinking this would be more efficient. The problem was that the pass-through charging did not take into account the DC ports and the battery would cycle between my set limits continuously. The app would show 26w of AC charging and 29w of discharge. THIS IS NOT GOOD! I then took the servers off the DC and used the ac power supplies. The River 3 then correctly charged at the usage level (29w) without cycling. Success!

What about the reviews regarding a very troubling issue of the Ecoflow River 3 Plus emitting smoke and a noxious odor from the side vents, at least when it is being charged from a wall socket? Hope to hear from you soon!

I like ecoflow..i use three different ones around the house as ups for power outages one for garage fridge, one for router/modem, and one for TV. Works nicely. Personally this unit with the shiny fingerprint showing front and one usbc and outlets on the back doesnt float my boat ..but i like ecoflow.

Why not just get the delta 3 plus? Does the river 3 plus with the extra big battery make more sense somehow?

What happens to the batteries in the Ecoflow unit if you use it as a UPS, - with a desktop computer hooked up to it for a year. In theory the batteries will never charge, so would this actually be destroying those LiPo batteries in the unit ?

Do you need an app or can you do everything manually/ directly on the station? Can you use the app with no internet connection? Can you turn on the x-boost without the app?

It’s more expensive with either extra battery than the new Delta 3 Plus, which has an 1800W inverter (versus 600W in this), and a 1000WH battery (versus 283WH in this, or 858WH max with the EB600).. so, if you need higher capacity, just get the Delta 3 Plus😬 yes, it’s heavier, but if your going to spend $650, might as well get the larger inverter and a bit more WH’s. Where this fits is for a UPS application for a PC or NAS, the USB port is recognized by Windows as an “HID UPS battery”, and is seen in Windows.. which can shutdown cleanly when it runs out of power.. it’s also good if you have a whole home backup generator, as it will keep the PC/NAS running until it kicks in 👍

Anker C300 AC - All the same power but with 3 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A .... So why do you need this old style station? Any suggestions??? Instead of one EcoFlow river 3 plus with the battery you can buy 3 Anker C300 AC... and connect them together if you need .. EcoFlow going wrong way ...

Next they will create River 3 MAX with 2 USB-C ports .. and next year new River 3 Ultra will come with 3 USB-C ports... It's all about money... EcoFlow should stop thinking about them self and start thinking about people... WE NEED 3 USB-C PORTS NOW! 👍 AND 1 USB-A... MAYBE...

@@leokolev We had a power outage from Helene that lasted 11 days. I kept everything charged with an Ego riding mower. It has exactly ONE USB-A port. That's all I needed. I have more USB-A to USB-C adapters than I can count on both hands and both feet.

@@leokolev The single-port USB-A worked like a charm. Charged everything I needed for 11 days. Therefor the EcoFlow with multiple output choices will work even better. And obviously you concede the price point goes to Ecoflow, since you had no comment. To ignore the obvious with such determination would lead me to think you've got a stake in Anker. You're assertions have no basis in fact.

I have Jackery 300 from 2021... The same 1 USB-C and 2 USB-A ports... For 2025 2 old and slow USB-A ports is not acceptable... NO WAY... In 2-3 years all USB-A electronics will be gone... And what I will do for the next 10 years with this unit with 2 absolutely useless USB-A ports??? Any ideas ???

Turn off x-boost, its a gimmick. A lot of stuff does not work well or at all when undervolted, which is all x-boost does.
