If you want to catch more catfish, watch this video now! Learn about river channel bends, excellent spots to find hungry catfish, and big catfish baits.
Today I fished a spot within a spot for springtime catfish fun. Channel bends in rivers are excellent spots to find hungry catfish. I found a portion of the channel bend that had all the right elements for success, with a deep hole close to the bank that swings out, creating a large shallow mud flat with a lot of wood cover on it. I was throwing large skip jack heads for bait.

Glad you're still here Steve...I do know that once you have a heart attack, it will and can slow you down. Just take your time and don't over do it. I've slowed way down since mine and have trouble doing a LOT of things I use to do, but I still try. Glad you're back AND STILL here.

Hey 👋 brother, I have watched your videos for years and I'm glad you're back. Don't overdo anything take it easy. None of us are getting any younger 😅. Glad to see you back at it we missed you! I had open heart surgery in June of 21 with 4 bypass’s. I did not have a heart attack as I found my issue before that. Went fishing at 10 weeks after ( was supposed to wait 12 weeks) and caught a 58 lb blue around Saltillo TN. It was great to be back on the water. Hope you are back in Savannah TN for the World Series of catfish tourney I. September. See ya there hopefully. FYI - if you didn’t know JR Sweat that run the tourney passed away about 3 weeks ago.

Been watching you slimming down and decided I needed to slim down also.... Last Fall I was 240 and as of this morning I'm down to 203 lbs. As you know, it all starts one day at a time.... So if it takes a couple of weeks for a whole month, I hope to be below 200 lbs soon. I had oven fried fish fillet for dinner tonight along with some home grown tomatoes and cantalope..

I'm glad you are ok Steve. One of the scariest things was when my father had his heart attack. However, he beat it and was back to catfishing. At 72 he's still going and asking me when we are going to go catch more. Good to see a video!!

Sorry to hear about you having open heart surgery. I had my right big toe amputated in May. I'm doing well. The hardest part of it was no fishing for 3 weeks until I got the stitches out of my foot

So glad to see you back on the water and doing well. I just mounted your rod holders on my new boat, and they work great. I use those same crimpers for my surf fishing rigs I make.
