@@longliveavalon You are delusional and a liar. Did you tap out white belts? I trained in Aikido for 2 years when I was a teenager. I am not ignorant when it comes to Aikido. Out of all the youtube videos out there, you see Aikido guys getting destroyed by BJJ guys. In fact, I bet you cannot show me any kind of video in existence that shows an Aikido practitioner beating a BJJ guy. There is a reason why you do not see any Aikido techniques in MMA or even street fights, because it is not applicable or; effective in the real world. You cannot do most Aikido techniques against a person who is resisting. All Aikido guys who get thrown or wrist and arm locks, go with the flow of the guy doing the techniques. They know how to fall properly. Every video Segal does, is against guys letting him do the moves on him. You sound just as delusional as Segal teaching Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida those kicks. There literally wouldn't be shit you could do to me. I would be like a uncle play fighting with a 2 year old. Anything your tried on me, I would see it, and counter. Anything I did to you, there would be nothing you could even do about it. Not going to reply to you again, or even read your rebuttal because its a waste of time. Aikido isn't meant to "kick ass". Whoever practices aikido, will use the energy of his opponent in order to control him, put him out of action, demonstrate to him the pointlessness of combat. The more aggressive the attack, the more easily the energy used to defeat the opponent will be used to put him out of action.

@leusmaximusx3 жыл бұрын
I am a shodan in aikido, the martial art of aikido is not about winning a physical fight, aikido is a martial art strategy for avoiding or preventing a fight. Aikido is not for self defense on a combat level, but on a self conservation of energy and not allowing a conflict to become a combat engagement. There are no enemies in aikido, only forces of nature. Physical contact fight with/without rules involves deception and is best done with combat martial arts such as kick boxing, wushu, muay boran, kali, penkat, karate, bjj, judo, where to win a combat , such art/techniques used must never be identified by the enemy. The aikido techniques demonstrated by masters are way for the body to realize harmonizing with physical force and to show eternal respect and benevolence towards all beings. Aikido is used by warriors ( samurai,combat martial artist/MMA or other fighters ) to cleanse/purge themselves of hate for fellowmen and killer instinct circulating inside their hearts and minds, to help them be on peaceful existence. This is why many folks have hard time understanding the value of aikido. Aikido does not prevent people to train in combat martial for these are important skills in battle and also has its purpose for self preservation and protection of loved ones, and also aikido welcomes those who train in fighting arts to relax and be at peace through the practice of the gentle art. I hope you will still maintain aikido practise as long as you are capable.. Osu !

It looks so smooth, quick and harmless, but I can assure you it hurts like hell. That's why you are always going away from the pain. You have no choice but to follow your oppoents lead once he gets a hold on you. If you go the other direction, you will most likely hurt yourself pretty badly.
