When he talks about Lyoto Machida, he is talking about the high kick that knocked Couture out. Lyoto did an interview in Brazil where he talks about Seagal's little speech. He said Seagal went to some of his training sessions but that Lyoto's dad (a karate black belt) was the one who recommended that very kick because his opponent was a veteran and he "should do something that could surprise someone experienced". And then, of course, Seagal goes out saying that he not only created the kick, but he also perfected it and taught it to Lyoto. I mean... Damn... That being said Lyoto was very respectful and didn't even say that Seagal lied, he even made sure to mention that Seagal was present during training, he just said it was his father who suggested the kick.

you're not an incredible intelligent man Mr. jonmacist John. "him and Bruce Lee are the only ones who fought for real" Steven Seagal and Bruce Lee have never been in real fights. Most of the other martial arts actors have done some competetive fighting prior to their acting careers. However; This was not the case for Bruce Lee or Steven Seagal. Steven Seagal is a pathelogical liar and a fraud. And you are a gullible fool.
@asdadfafafafffallslsldd80686 жыл бұрын
Im sorry to have burst your bubble but Bruce Lee was an actor and not a real fighter. A mythological figure who was hyped up by people who had a hard time separating reality from fiction. People like Chuck Norris who actually trained with Bruce Lee has told this several times before but he is written off by lunatic fanboys who doesn't want their bubble of wild fantasy to burst. It's irrelevant if Burce Lee had a street fight or not. I think there are reports of him being in a street fight tbh. But Im talking about competetive fights. Bruce Lee wasn't a competior. He was an actor and a guy who worked out a lot like people who go the gym to train cross fit. Could he have been a good fighter in his weight class? Absolutely, but he didn't take that step. Fighting wasn't big back then and it was more lucrative to make movies and to make money from teaching martial arts. Traditional martial arts are not really gonna make you able to fight btw. It's a big money hoax for deluded people in denial. It's just not effective.

He claimed that he was actually a CIA operative and he also claimed that he frequently taught US Green Berets and SEALs hand-to-hand combat techniques. He is one of the most pathetic human beings on planet Earth...literally everything about him is fake, including the damn hair on his head and the lifts he frequently wears in his shoes despite already being like 6'3" tall.

@@johnnytyler5685 heard he taught Sean Connery hand to hand combat on the set of all those James bond films
@johnnytyler56853 жыл бұрын
@@cod4life12349 Well you heard wrong. The only Bond movie Seagal had any part in was the "unofficial" Sean Connery Bond movie "Never Say Never Again" from 1983. I have no idea how big of a Bond fan you are but "Never Say Never Again" was literally just a remake of "Thunderball" from 1965. There was a legal dispute over who owned the rights to the "Thunderball" story and in the late 1970's those rights were awarded to one of the men who co-wrote the original Thunderball novel with Ian Fleming in 1960...a man named Kevin McClory. When he was awarded the rights to the Thunderball story, he decided he wanted to cash in on those rights by making another Bond movie...even if it was just a remake of "Thunderball". Connery was interested in reprising his role as Bond and since he was Bond at the time that the original Thunderball movie was made in 1965, it all sort of just worked out perfectly. So they remade Thunderball and updated it for 1983 (nearly 20 years after the original movie was released) and Connery reprised his role as Bond, but it wasn't an "official" Eon Productions James Bond movie. It actually came out the same year as the "official" Eon Productions Bond movie "Octopussy" with Roger Moore playing Bond. Anyway, Seagal was one of the "martial arts instructors" for the movie and he broke Sean Connery's wrist during training. That should tell you everything you need to know about Seagal. That was probably his first and last time ever working on a movie as a "martial arts instructor". I also find it hilarious that it was Connery's wrist that was broken. If you ever watch anything that Seagal does, his entire repertoire of "martial arts moves" involves grabbing people by the hand and bending their wrists in various directions to control the rest of their bodies...something so simple that even police are taught those techniques (or they used to be...nowadays it's probably illegal for a cop to even LOOK at a perp, let alone lay hands on him). But that is the extent of what Seagal can do as a "martial artist"...bending people's wrists back and forth.

In an alternate universe, Steven Seagal is beloved as an entertainer known for his "dad action" movies, great sense of humor, and self-awareness. He's also knowledge and passionate about martial arts and knows the effective ones from the ineffective ones, but likes to play up his aikido prestige for a good laugh.
