Sadie and Lars have a very complicated relationship. I like that the show is very honest about how easy it is to hurt or be hurt as a teen.

Sometimes people forgot relationships don't need to be perfect for a series lol. There's thousands of different relationship dynamics and more shows should do them instead of always doing the boring non toxic relationship troupe

Steven and the Stevens is so great honestly. Steven doesnt even question joining the band, you can see every steven outside the fight looks so weirded out. Especially the last one (or our now current timeline Steven), looked so uncomfortable and confused. I mean, yeah. He had no idea what happened and not only got attacked by a seemingly crazy future version of him, around multiple other stevens fighting, but also watched all of them die. Also, creepy implications. Our original Steven died. We now have a new Steven.

People seem fixated on the idea that, after "Steven and the Stevens", we're following an alternate universe Steven - but we aren't, unless we're also following an alternate Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst, and an alternate Greg, and an alternate Beach City, and so forth. The "alternate timeline" referred to is the one where Steven time travels at all, and Steven-1 stops it from taking place by destroying the time dealie _before he used it_ , which is why paradox wipes him and all subsequent Stevens out of existence. C'mon, guys, it's simple temporal physics.

I love Stevens single track mind with the fire salt. He just heard 'burn' and went 'Burn? Ah! Fire!' Literally just "I know how to burn people!" and "Burn! Burn people!". This little kid

The plot of Steven and the Stevens was based on the non-broadcast pilot episode for Steven Universe. Same characters and voice actors, but a very different art style.

I like to think in some way that this is a new steven we're watching. The one that we've been watching this whole time just died and we got a replacement.

Oh yeah definetly. That's probably why they made them so distinguishable. Original Steven gets the new hair style to be easily recognised (although we follow him throughout the episode) and new steven gets the jacket/hoodie(?) So we know for sure it's new Steven who survives.

I'll note that, beginning with the next episode, Steven seems more mature and thoughtful.
