@sikbaggers3 жыл бұрын
I do not have on specifically on that BUT if youw catch this video on the fat tire install, you can see how to remove the wheel, forks etc to get to it. Then all you need to do is remove the top cap , drain the fluid and put new fluid in. In this video I added a 1 inch lowering kit but skip all that. Dont let the fluid out from the bottom...just undo the top cap, and pour it out. If you watch the whole fork leg part you will see what I'm stalking about and see the parts that you need to do. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4XUoWmko8qkarM

Sup S.B. awesome vid. so a sibling purchased a 21 RGS that was crashed and it looks like the whole faring is shifted over to the left about 1-2"in you're opinion do you think its the inner faring mount that needs to be replaced? I don't what else it can be without removing everything
@sikbaggers3 жыл бұрын
The inner fairing is supported by 4 bolts to the neck and of course the fairing brackets...if the inner fairing was broke at the 4 bolts you would see it just by looking down over the handlebars...if its not broke the neck is bent. ..I can't see how it would be bent without breaking the plastic though...that would take a huge hit to bend that neck. But really though there is only those 2 contact points..the neck and the 2 faireing brackets.

@sikbaggers5 жыл бұрын
Hey David...it was a take off that I had painted locally when I took my new fender over for paint. Im trying to get advanblack to do them for the rg. It fits about as good as the Harley one that comes on the bike...Harley did a piss poor job of fitting the inner to the outer specially at the top left and right side..that gap that gets bigger as you move away from the vent is just crap in my opinion. Every road glide ive had in here is the same...its not as noticeable with black inner fairing but once you get it painted...whew! I can live with it but HD should have done a better job at molding these pieces IMO

I love the new Harleys I just honestly don’t think they’re worth 30K or 45K for the CVO. How can a full size vehicle cost less then 30K and a motorcycle that weighs a 3rd of a car with way less material cost almost twice what some small cars cost! They will sale for as much as us stupid consumers will pay for them. People don’t realize the amount of power us consumers have, we can control the cost of these easily. All that needs to happen is ALL of us just stop buying them for at least 6 months. I would bet my yearly salary that you would see them dramatically drop in price to try and get people to buy. If everyone would smarten up we would all pay way less for these bikes but people either don’t have patience or are in line to get the newest model and there’s makers know that. They also know that they will just extend your loan to another 12 months to lower the payment and us idiots will pay it. Come on people we are smarter then this. We need to get control of these prices and stop being ok with trucks costing 100K and a 2 wheel bike costing 30K that is only about 10K to build. Come on people
@sikbaggers2 жыл бұрын
You alright there Jerry? lol its a inner fairing swap video and you seem pretty mad about the prices of cvos for some reason...while I completely agree with you...just making sure you're good man
@jerrypolete52582 жыл бұрын
@@sikbaggers I’m perfectly fine. I just don’t feel these bikes are worth the price these days. For the cost of these bikes you shouldn’t have to then bring it home and pay to upgrade things that’s just stupid and we the consumers are the idiots for falling for it. This happens all around us everyday. My neighbor just bought a new 2021 Ford F-250 platinum and paid 100K for it. So he just paid 100K for a truck that probably only cost 25K to make. The markup on vehicles and bikes is just a joke. People don’t realize that if you don’t buy it they have to lower the price it’s that simple. Everyone these days wants the bigger & badder bike or truck etc and they don’t care if it’s way over priced. The cost of these bikes is all our faults for paying the ridiculous prices nowadays. If we don’t keep it in control these bikes will be selling for 60K in 2 years, where does it stop? I’m looking to buy a 2022 Road glide limited and the dealership was trying to put a 4K mark up because of how difficult it is to find bikes. So basically they’re trying to take advantage of people because it’s hard to find bikes right now, it’s a joke and people will pay it because they want the bike so bad but what they don’t realize is if we all came together and stopped buying these bikes they would have no choice but to drop the price in turn we control the market. I know I might sound crazy etc but it’s simple economics and I’m 100% right. You see it everyday at clothing stores. When clothes stop selling you see them on the clearance rack, it’s that simple they don’t want to loose money so they drop the price to a clearance price but they’re still making money because of the amount of markup on the clothes. Same thing with bikes and cars they’re all marked up. Bikes are marked up way over what they’re worth. I looked at the Indian however they don’t come with the trunk in the back for passengers like the limited does. The guy at the dealership told me it would be about $4,500 to purchase the trunk separately. That’s just insane and it blows me away that people are spending their money on something that cost not even $500 to build… now that’s called stupidity I’m sorry. I guess I’m saying I wish we the people would smarten up and stop being taken advantage of! These companies have been taking advantage of us for decades and people continue to fall for it left and right. I understand the bikes are nice but we have to get a hold of ourselves and just hold out and we all benefit from it. Thx for checking in though much appreciated!

A good video, I must say. But, did you ever notice that when a mechanic starts off by saying "All you have to do is", then your are in deep shit already.
