If you do decide to listen to their other albums, just be warned: they have an insane amount of EPs and bonus track songs that are basically their own album because of how many there are. They are good though! But just know that if you decide to listen backwards like you did with Taylor Swift's albums, it's really more like 4 previous albums, not 3.

Also, Red Desert is a homage to Australia, their home and it was a song that had wanted to write for years but always struggled to. As an Aussie, there is something that seems to call to me in the song, and I feel like that they have been able to capture some of the unique beauty of this land we call home.

I was really interested to see whether or not you would react to this album, and I'm glad you did! I'd agree with you, the songs they released as singles were definitely the most experimental songs. Also, I love how much you appreciate Luke's vocals, it has genuinely matured an insane amount in the last few years (by the way, you're correct in assuming it's Luke singing; he sings every song other than Wildflower haha). I'm kinda sad the full album isn't as industrial-influenced as teeth, easier, wildflower and no shame. I really expected the entire record would sound like those songs, but I still love it overall. If you ever give youngblood a listen, definitely check out all the bonus tracks too! (there's 6 in total), they're all super underrated

If you like harmonies, you should check out their cover of Killer Queen by Queen! The harmonies in it are fantastic! Also, their third album "Youngblood" is really experimental too, so I'd definitely recommend it!

I agree with you that I'd have wanted more tracks, but to let you know, they already are working on their 5th studio album as Ashton the drummer said. I think if you saw Youngblood and earlier works, you will really see the contrast and the growth in their music.

Actually, all of them can sing high ranges really well. Have you ever heard Ashton singing? He's amazing in the high range and in the low range. He's got a great span of ranges. Michael and Calum are also incredible in the higher ranges. Not many of them can sing as low as Ashton though, but the ranges they can sing, they are all fantastic at. Any one of them can carry a solo on a song and be just as good as Luke. That's one of the many things that is great about this band. It's not just one vocal talent, it's four. That and they are all fantastic at their instruments, and also versatile. Most of them know how to play more than one instrument very well.
