Really like your videos on bike building, got a few observations though (Not criticisms) regarding the front mech: You didn’t mention the backup plate and support bolt adjustment, initial alignment is not set parallel to the chainring, the support bolt sets the alignment. You didn’t mention the cable tension adjustment bracket indicator and input link marks for correctly setting cable tension. Finally, Shimano specify setting limits using small / big and big/big, there is no mention of big/small for setting the H limit. I’ve adjusted R8000 that has been set up incorrectly and found that whilst it shifts it doesn’t shift as nice as it can do, it’s also worth mentioning that the barrel adjusters on the rear mech are a terrible design and won’t always turn the screw when you turn the plastic barrel. I’ve found removing this and adding grease helps for fine adjustment here. For anyone suffering issues with R8000 it’s really worth reading the Shimano tech docs and following the set up advice.

And finally I never saw one wrapping the bar tape from top to bottom...

"degasing" is an old trick form sram bleed guides. but they uses dot-shit, where this is an issue. at mineral oil is it's not much of a deal especially on road bikes.
@firesurfer4 жыл бұрын
I've done it both ways, but I prefer bottom up, because top down sometimes causes the tape edge to roll over after being used awhile. It actually depends on the kind of tape being used. It's easier to keep the tape in place at the top though when starting at the top. Whenever you see an extra wrap at the top you know they started at the bottom.

Hi Adam, Sincerely apologize on the situation you met. We are not sure which name you used to place order , so it is hard for us to look into your case in details and hard for us to check your refund record. We need to make sure if your order is placed directly from us cause there are some 3rd party also selling our product, and they might not offer prompt service and good enough buying experience to you. Also, we are upgrading our R11 frameset, to make it with all internal cabling, and be compatible with wider 32mm tires. Moreover, the crafts of the frame will upgrade to be built with EPS+Latex which will make the inside of the frameset extremely smooth so that the bike build will be much more easier. Although the cost of upgrade is added, we insist to offer high quality products to all customers. Please send all your details to our email at service@yoeleobike.com even if it was bought from the 3rd party, we will definitely check your case and solve your problem in shortly. You can choose to refund & return , or change to the upgraded frameset. Sincerely apologize again. Thanks Yoeleo
