I have to say that it is so cool that you get called out by name from ground control. You must admit that just is something that is infrequent and something special.

Haven't finished watching yet, but always enjoy. You just mentioned the Pivot case. I use one with a suction cup in an F-15 and it's awesome. From a knee board strap to the suction cup to a panel/yoke mount with just the little tab. And if it can stay in place with 6+ G on a regular basis, it'll do fine for you!
@cameronlane764 жыл бұрын
Mike- that's awesome! I'm with PIVOT and I'm really glad to hear that. I manage social media for the company and would love a pic or two of your PIVOT case/mount in the F-15 if you have any!

I worked for a healthcare company in Florida about 30 years ago and we had centers from Miami to Albany, GA and 9 spots in between. I wish my bosses had invested in a turboprop to haul me around instead of me either spending a day driving or flying commercial from city to city. A lot of the flights were on Sweringer Metros, 1900s, or Embraer Bondys. I remember more than one late night flight home when it was just me and the crew and they asked me to sit in the back for balance, especially on the Metros. Of course, if you travel by Air Force a living in Florida you best get over any fear of flying in the bumps. Even a good distance away from the daily thunderstorms you often get an E ticket ride. (For y’all old enough to remember what those were.)

@bob261ma94 жыл бұрын
Cameron Warren Thanks. Will that work on Baron? Does he hook to yoke?
@cameronlane764 жыл бұрын
@@bob261ma9 It should work fine in the Baron. The clamp would connect to the yoke rod, and you would need to adjust the arm on the mount to position the iPad in front of the yoke like you see in Steve's video. You could also consider the single suction cup mount. It's very popular with GA pilots. Normally they attach it near the front of the side window.

You mentioned that you had only been flying in the last 4 months to stay current, although you have previously done a video on your annual simulator recurrent training. Why did you not do the currency flights in the simulator? It seems that would be a much cheaper option, unless the added travel costs etc. would push the cost over that of the aircraft time.
