This is my first ever Angelina Jordan reaction video and it's of her live performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" from America's Got Talent. Shockingly I had never heard of Angelina Jordan before making this reaction video. She did an exceptional job of covering the uncoverable Queen!

An important thing to remember about AJ is that she refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 2. AJ is currently signed with Republic Records. 3. AJ began singing at 18 months. Her grandmother was a jazz/blues fan and played that genre of music for AJ. She fell in love with it very early on and has even arranged most if not all that she sings from age 8. What an incredible talent. 4. Currently in 2022 she is in her mid-teenage years, stands 6 foot tall and still performs barefoot. The backstory of her encounter with the homeless girl she met while she traveled with her family through Iran at age 6 includes the weather damaged bare feet of the child she gave her own shoes to. 5. The reason she performs barefoot is to bring awareness to her public of the children worldwide who can't afford shoes of their own. She has raised millions of dollars for clothing including shoes for those unfortunate children. 6. AJ sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother). 7. The band, Queen, was so impressed by her performance that they tweeted their congratulations to her. They then gave Angelina the rights to her arrangement of their song. Angelina rarely follows the script when it comes to singing. Even at 7, she arranged her performance of "Gloomy Sunday," from Billie Holiday. She will sounds like Billie, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Amy Winehouse, and Adele, to name a few. Yet even as she draws in their phrases and sound, we will still see her own voice at the forefront.

Republic Records won the Angelina Jordan lottery, but they brought an 2 time Grammy winning producer, Rob Christie, to the table, and they made her their top new artist and are putting the resources behind her development. Angelina is a master at this. Then, of course, she has a huge toolbox with various voice tricks to pick out if she wants! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. Certainly by age 6 or 7, but at age 9 she arranged and recorded what many say is the best performance of a song by any child artist- I put a spell on you- by Screaming. She started singing at the age of one year and a half and has been arranging her cover songs since she was 6 or 7 years old. She started with jazz!! She won “Norway Got Talent” at the age of 8!! There are more than 150 cover songs of all genres and singers. Now she also has her own songs. She makes the songs interesting and audible for young people, especially in jazz. Angelina developed her own, I would like to say unmistakable, style at such a young age. This is real art. - Why Angelina always sings barefoot: At the age of 6, Angelina traveled to the Middle East with her grandmother, who is from Iran and is an artist herself. Angelina noticed a girl her age making some money by asking passers-by to stand on her bathroom scale to be weighed. In order not to soil the scales, Angelina took off her shoes. Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. Steve, as for her voice, her neck, larynx and chords seem to be a tiny bit langer/bigger than usual, hence the smokiness, deep singing voice (she sang a song in the same key as Elvis, I saw that). She practices her voice since age 3 for 36 hours a week, visited the music and performance academy for technical advice. Today in 2023, her singing voice was said by respected vocal coaches is in the contralto and alto range. She was estimated for a usual range of 2,5 octaves and eventual may be 4 octaves, she is working on it. Steve, be safe, healthy and happy. Elmar from Germany.

It would be nice if you hit the pause button and did not talk over her performance, It takes away from both her performance and your reaction to it. Angelina is to awesome to have her vocals talked over , it shows a diminished respect for the singer who ever it may be. Otherwise a nice reaction to the 'Barefoot Princess of song'.
