Many thanks, yes it took a while to work this one out - we even went back on a second day for an additional shot, which was the clean door opening (luckily weather was the same and we matched angle of shadows)... Trial and error is key!

That's an impressive effect for a budget production, makes it look like a bigger (more expensive) stunt. It's so quick that I don't think anyone will notice that reflections don't work that way 🤣

seriously better quality than most cable tv productions, I would love to see you do a video breaking down client pricing on a shoot like this with all your gear, and editing time there is not enough appreciation for the amount of work that goes into even simple and mediocre video production, all the graphic, motion tracking, color, and rotoscoping work for a 40 second scene the time of 3 grips you should be billing thousands for your production quality. nice work.

Some great work, Steve! It's amazing how much you can get away with in these action shots. Masks, blurs, a cut here, some rotation there... TADA! LOL Well done! The effect is pretty good, especially when the camera travels through the back window. That said the way the camera moves away from the character once he touches the ground and rolls is quite jarring. I feel like this is mostly because it implies that the camera decelerated to zero instantaneously which would be impossible with a real setup. I think it would've been a lot better if the camera kept its inertia and followed him as he was rolling, slowing down progressively.
