Rikane Jose I have a great respect for my grandparents and my mother, so if I introduce them to someone it needs to be the one, we are very big on family. And if we break up at least you don’t have hear questions from nosy family members and you don’t have to break up with his family, it just makes everything easier.

This is like my first time disagreeing with steve lol. in TWO MONTHS if i do not bring you around for the holidays it is not because i dont think you are the one. But rather, its TWO MONTHS lol. In two months we rarely know each other, everything is still fresh and for a male, bringing you over to see my MOTHER (forget the whole family) is a processed that does not need to be rushed because i dont want to be the son that keeps presenting a different girl every 4 months lol. i want us to have OUR time to know each other and connect which now and days is more than 2 months in my opinion. In 2 months i can be the best version of myself but let some more time sink in

My brother is one who brings a girl to meet us right after they start dating. We are never really able to build any type of trust or relationships with them because they come and go so fast. I think waiting takes patience, but it pays off in the long run.

Yeah, I agree completely two months worth of dating is too short to bring someone around my family for the holidays. If the relationship is keen, and if we are still going strong, then maybe next year I’ll have my significant other join my family for the holidays.

Thank you i agree Steve is doing a disservice for men i can or any man can think a women is the one instantly but doesn't mean they want to introduce them to there family as soon as they know men want to make sure there the one first men will know there the one or think there the one and still wait so they don't introduce another girl to there mom and then they turn out not to be the one and this is the 20th girl your mom has met and the 20th girl you've told your mom is the one so men like to take there time to make sure and steve acts like every man knows in every relationship that there with the one that's bs some men don't know tell years in or more others wise everyone would be getting married within the first year steve is so wrong and the lady saying there's studying saying men don't get over a girl for a year is wrong theres studies showing the opposite men get over relationship by the first week i get over and have gotten over every girl I've been with within the first week

This does not apply to everyone but in my opinion after 3 months you kind of know if you want to be with someone. Why not bring them to your family house. If it’s been 3 month and you’re unsure then maybe they’re not the one and you should move on.

What that one lady said was true. When me and my ex-girlfriend broke up about 5 years ago, I went out and hooked up with 8-10 women in the span of 2-3 months. After that though, I spent the next 2 years getting over my ex. I’m still not 100% over her to this day, and we only dated for a little less than a year. Maybe it’s because I haven’t had a real girlfriend since then. On the other hand, my ex, from what our mutual friends told me, grieved for half a year or more right after we broke up, and almost never went out to party during that time. After that though, she was completely fine. I know it’s one example, but I’ve seen this happen to many of my friends as well.

USA culture is very different, at least in this specific scenario, to mine, the Latinamerican culture. Two months into a relantionship and already sharing Christmas togheter? Damn thats fast. From what my boyfriend has told me about himself he was a player before he met his ex, whom he loved but things didn’t work out and it took him 5 years to get over her. He said he wasn’t in any serious relationship during those years which I think meant that he still hung out with girls. So yeah even if he’s depressed it don’t mean he was sitting home alone.

So glad the woman on the right went back at Harvey. I've said time and again he gives out bad advice. I would bet that most men who really like a woman a lot or love her, does not get over her in two months, give or take. And he might go out with someone else but he's still thinking about her. This all men think this way or that way is total crap. The most a man will do is pretend he's over her. I have just wanted to sit at home and do nothing or bury myself in my work. And if its around the holidays he's not taking some random woman to meet his family. I've been divorced for awhile and no woman I've dated has met my kids or family. That will not happen unless me and her feel this might be long term.

His brother bringing his new girl and me being respectful enough to the family just showed me I don't deserve to be in that situation. I told him either he stands up for me as his future wife or I don't want him. He is currently on a hunting trip with his brother and I was not allowed to go. Trust and believe I told him it's done with.

My ex told me she love me in the first week and I felt like the nice thing to say is to say it back. And then I later met the family. Sheesh, talk about pressure. She didn't say sitting around, she said not completely over her. My ex didn't sit around he partied, had sex with other girls etc. like he was fine but he was still hurt trying to mask it. He still wasn't over me a year later. If you weren't that in love you can get over it fast but not with someone you were really in love with.

Let's just start by saying every situation and every person is different. Now usually it would be fast to meet the family in just 2 months of dating unless you knew them before the dating. For a complete stranger I would never do that, people are crazy and mask themselves in the beginning. Also every man and woman is different, I get over things faster than some of my girl friends. I do know that men often act ok and party/ have sex after a break up but deep down they are not over it! Probably thinking about his ex while having sex with the next girl. My ex wasn't even over me after a year. Often women are over it before the break up, so we can move on a little faster and not the pretend move on some men do.
