Stevie Nicks & Tom Petty are long time pals! Petty said she will always be considered a Heartbreaker! Stevie was inspired to write "Edge of Seventeen" when talking to Petty's wife. She asked how Tom & her met to which she replied "Age of 17" but according to Stevie, she had such a thick southern drawl, she heard "Edge of 17". Flip side, Petty was at a party at Stevie's house when there was a knock on the door. It was Stevie's ex, Joe Walsh. Stevie yelled "Don't Come Round Here No More" & slammed the door. Tom said for weeks that got stuck in his head. He called Stevie to ask if she'd mind him writing a song with that name inspired by that moment & the rest is history! (knowing that really puts the lyrics in perspective!) 🎵🎹🎸🎧🥁🎶🎻🎻🎷🎻🎺🎵 ❤
