@TomoFujitaMusic Every single time I watch one of these, I pick up so many ideas...I've been playing for over 20 years, so my technique is up there. Idea-wise, for example, you using just a bass line behind your playing allows your SINGLE NOTES to dictate the chords, as opposed set CHORDS dictating the single notes. You are my (and many other players', I would imagine) Yoda.

TomoFujitaMusic I am a subscriber to Guitar Wisdom. It’s a major part of my guitar learning curriculum. For me Tomo your greatest contribution to my learning is more about learning the pitch of notes and “feeling” which notes and chords to play. As the greats Kings of Blues-BB, Albert, Freddie-play with feeling. It’s all about the “space” and listening. That’s what I continue to work on.

Thanks so much for subscribing my Guitar Wisdom! So nice to hear that! Guitar learning, teaching, performing is my true passion! I will do my best at my Guitar Wisdom. Space & rhythm is more important than the notes!

If People can just get the feel for the music without Copying the notes they hear from the record, they will understand the feel Stevie tried to express for this song
@adamguitar14984 жыл бұрын
Disagree to an extent, the quickest way to truly understand a feel/style is to copy ones influence. If you can do this by ear all the better, and not just finding pitches, but hearing the subtleties of tone, dynamics, articulation and timing. Get good at this, then you can start stringing all these phrases together in different ways. Learn to do this and your intuition becomes stronger and you start to modify what you've learned, adding your own spin, and next thing you know your not thinking when you play but feeling the music on a whole new level. While this is enough to give you a unique voice while still staying "true" to a style, the more you broaden your horizons the better a player you become, because you learn to think in a larger variety of ways
@TomoFujitaMusic4 жыл бұрын
Many ways to approach on things. I don't copy the details but I keep listening and appreciate Stevie Ray Vaughan everyday (now!) so that I get his spirit & essence from his music. And hopefully I add that to my own playing style. Life is only once... life is short people often says... I believe there is not only one correct or wrong thing. No answer is beautiful.
