While some imitations are better than others, all fall short of the real thing. Srv set the bar so high with his skills that I don't think it's possible to reach,Stevie was a channel, the energy and music flowed out of him , he played with an Intensity and aggressiveness that was almost violent at times, his tone ,the insane thickness strings he used, the simple old school effects pedals he used. He did the impossible and make it look easy.his skill and ability were not of this world. Some of the best guitarists in the world will readily admit they do t even attempt to imitate the master. In a 7 year career he managed to turn the blues inside out, and earn the admiration and respect of some of the legendary guitarists. There is none finer than srv ,and never will be

Hello Brian. It really comes from playing lots of shows. I use to play 3 or 4 nights a week, 4 X 45 minute sets a night doing blues/rock and just jamming. It REALLY adds to the "Intensity and aggressiveness that was almost violent at times" and you really nailed the description. I don't play as much as I used to. We all got tired of the pay at bars. The hard part is trying to get out of state or casino gigs that pay real money. I love SRV but the people booking the better paying gigs are booking the "Queen, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Journeys.." and the list goes on with band that sold 100 million records instead of 10 million. I really though it would sell better. It's something love and it WOULD get better if I played as much as I used to. I haven't given up.

Great performance, loved it...put me in the Stevie Ray Vaughn zone. Technique and note for note translation...excellent guitar skills. The only thing missing, was that "Stevie" sound and unfortunately, we'd need Stevie's fingers for that. Miss you SRV. But this performance sure was a wonderful alternative to fill the void.

@@stevierayvisited2758 I don't know what your performance schedule is or how far you venture out, but I'd love to catch one of your performances. Until this week, I had not heard of you but thanks to KZbin suggestion, caught your video.

@@dceballos067 Hello Don. We will be in Las Vegas on March 26th. I recently joined an Eagles Tribute band and it's consumed much of my time learning the material. These guys work a lot and I need the work. Please check www.stevierayvisited.com and www.tlreagles.com Thanks!

Stevies playing wouldn’t be so special if anyone could play it. Of course anyone can learn the notes but the feeling that we know and love came straight from Stevie. At least these guys are playing good music when good music doesn’t really exist anymore
