The Bernie Worrell guy is a born prodigy, Stevie was fantastic, but Bernies sound was almost tangible I could pluck the notes out of the air and bag it, so eerie, yet so cool!

This is like history repeating itself, considering that these four legends were among the first musicians to use Bob Moog's iconic instruments. Another observation is, playing styles are a lot like fingerprints. Even if you listened to the audio without the video, you could probably figure out who's who. Cool.

drwood1962 They’re two different people. :) Dr Lonnie Smith is the soul-jazz organist. Lonnie Liston Smith plays Rhodes, led the Cosmic Echoes, and is the originator of Chill-Jazz.

Awesome post! I really liked Stevie Wonder's spur of the moment prog rock excursion, but the other three guys were great as well. I didn't realize that the Moog was so prominent in mid - late 70s Parliament/Funkadelic.

Hahaha, for real. Usually with those product demos, when the demo guys are playing clavinet sounds or any other sounds used for funk and soul, they're playing generic grooves. This demo had real funk.

It's great to hear this synth actually being played as an instrument, rather than the sequenced dance stuff most demos feature. I've not yet decided between this little guy or a Source. If the Sub had more keys, it'd be a no-brainer.

+Stephen Sobers (G) Picked up a sub phatty today, it SLAYS. Trust me, little phattys are about £150/$200 dollars cheaper used on ebay though, but the knobs on the sub phatty, so much expression and control.
