The video was posted on KZbin in 2008. The song was released in 1975 where it hit #1 in the UK. It hit #1 in the US in the 90s when Waynes World featured it and it was heavy in the trailer for the movie. It hit the hot 100 again in 2018 when the movie Bohemian Rhapsody movie was released. This song is ass man. Can someone explain the lyrics to me they are nonsense. Mumble rock.
@lk-music
@lk-music 3 жыл бұрын
@@jaydeneveleigh1062 Sure, Bohemian broadly means being unconventional, the song is about coming to terms with being different. Freddy kills a man, but that's metaphorical, he killed his old self. He needed to do that because he's been living a lie, the song is about coming out, going public about his sexuality. The middle operatic part is about how haters hate. The part after the biggest drop in rock history is about just not caring about what haters think. It's an anthem for anybody that gets persecuted just for being different.

The depth and clarity of Freddie's voice has no equal, he quite simply had one of the best voices out of any singers, and it's an objective fact. You don't have to like Queen as a band to notice the world class vocalist leading them.

When Queen first released Bohemian Rhapsody it was unique for many reasons: it was different from any other rock song; it was longer than most radio stations liked a song to be; it was a combination of many musical 'types' . . . but it caught the Country's imagination and was a hit both sides of the Atlantic. It is truly a classic and Freddie Mercury knew how to hold an audience in the palm of his hand.

The genius of this song is that it’s a rhapsody. It’s actually a rhapsody “A rhapsody in music is a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour, and tonality. An air of spontaneous inspiration and a sense of improvisation make it freer in form than a set of variations.” It’s generally only done in classical music. What most people don’t know about queen is the intense and high level of classical training of all its members. These guys really knew what they were doing.

Also, Stevie, the best way to describe queen, is musical theatre, they took you on a journey, it was a bit weird, a bit random, but it was beautiful and genius, musical genius, they created a story within a song and within their concerts, they were referred to as "Stadium Rock" as they were a band that could encapsulate thousands of people and take them on a theatrical journey, aswell as being a fucking awesome band at the same time, some say Freddie Mercury was the best frontman of all time.

Queen - Somebody To Love(Live at Montreal) is one of the BEST live performances you'll ever hear. Of course I'd recommend getting some more Queen tracks under your belt beforehand. With rock music, you gotta appreciate the vocal prowess of the frontperson, almost as much as the lyrics.

If you ever watched "Wayne's World" you might have heard this song there. Or they did a cover of it in the first season finale of Glee. It's supposed to be sort of a send-up/parody of opera.

The song is like experiencing an entire movie. I like that Stevie didn't go on and on about how weird the beginning was and shit. He let it play out and gave the song an actual chance. That's why I like Stevie's reacting style - he gives things a fair chance.

I might be wrong but i think the song speaks about freddy mercury battle with his family to become who we now know. From changing his name, playing what his parents thought was the devils music( they were indian parsey), not being around for dinners ( bismiela we will not let you go), etc. The man freddie ( born farouk) killed was himself. The song was also redone by an american girl group called the braids
