I have pet jumping spiders. No clue which species though. It started with one in the bathroom then a month or so later a second bigger one in the bedroom. Now after two years of living here there are at least 20 tiny ones in the bathroom. I just let them do their thing. The bigger ones let me pet them and the are like watching me shave for some reason. Honestly, I consider them roommates more than pets. They’re great at keeping the flies and ants down during the summer. It’s also fun when I have company over and I warn people that I have pet spiders so don’t kill them if you see them. ...I so rarely get visitors. Lol

War Against Myself I have two ones I consider my pets that are wild. I live in a single bedroom like apartment. I have a male, Punisher, and a female, Adriel. Adriel will climb into my hand if I tap my finger in front of her and she often just chills in the center of my hand or sleeps there. Punisher comes to my bedside when I’m getting ready to watch my shows on Netflix on my phone. He likes to chill on my index finger of thumb usually on the nail. If I spread my fingers apart he will jump finger to finger and back sometimes. I’ll spend an hour or two at a time sometimes just watching. They never come to me at the same time though. A lot of times their off exploring. I believe they at some point realize this room is a safe haven for them cuz I won’t kill them intentionally, I do fear I’ll step on them as they sometimes choose to explore the floor rather than safer places close to the wall as my place is kinda crowded

War Againt Myself I just only found one. Most of the spiders in my house are just creepy and try to bite so when i see one i just run away or one was hanging off the ceiling in my room and on my bed then i just smashed it cuz it was so fast. Then in the kitchen i saw an odd one i never saw before and it had a weird pattern then a few weeks later or soemthin it went all the way on the top of my rooms ceiling then a few days later i saw him on the wall and tried to see what it was and i realised its a jumping spider so now im keeping it as a pet in a container

I have two bold jumping spiders that live in my apartment. My apartment is more like a bedroom. I have a male named punisher and a female named Adriel Noir. She is twice his size but hes funnier. She likes to sleep in the center of my hand or just chill there he likes to walk up to my finger and poke it as if giving a high five before crawling in my hand. He will jump finger to finger sometimes or from hand to hand. He will come near my bed side at night to chill and if I’m not paying attention like watching something on my phone he will get as close to my phone as he can. This has been going on for a week with him. Adriel I’ve had for a month or so. Punisher I found about a week ago running in the hallway cuz some girl asked me to smash him. She was freaked when I scooped him up and let him lose in my room...

But then again, she was wild caught outside, so for captive-bred, I would suggest bought food. But I have also seen that wax worms and even hornworms will eventually turn into moths!

I have one or several jumpers living in my house. I enjoy them, but I have never before considered keeping one in an enclosure and caring for it. But they do tend to end up in places where I could accidently smash them, which sadly has happened twice recently. I rescued one from my kitchen island and moved it into a house plant. Then it, or another one, turned up on my dog leash in my bedroom. Thank goodness I saw it before grabbing the leash and moved it into another house plant. They seem to be everywhere here in Missouri, USA. Now I'm seriously thinking about keeping one as a pet.

Brand New to having a pet jumping spider. Your post came up and it was actually like the 4th or 5th video I got to watch. You're in complete agreement with the others I've watched 👍👍 so I feel better about following the advice given. Much appreciated 👍. Mines a bold jumping spider, she stuck claims on me 2 weeks ago. She's probably near the end of her life cycle, full grown adult. I been using a few paper towels as the substrate because it seems softer if she happens to fall plus a small spritz of water stays well. But I also use a q-tip with water and honey mix and wring out excess water. She drinks from it occasionally and I know it's time to feed her again, about every other day at various times.

@StewartWoodArt6 жыл бұрын

"3:50 don't feed with something of equal or bigger size, use something that equal size" what does it mean? should i give them smaller size food? why it is bad to give them big food? we need guides to your guides, please not only say what to do but also say why.

Mine hasn't eaten for nearly a month and he's getting really skinny. He isn't interested in any food I put in the tank for him
@StewartWoodArt2 жыл бұрын
Make sure the food is small enough for him to tackle, he maybe too old as well.
