Great video. Helped me understand why they wanted me to take the tail lights apart, so I didn't do it. Instructions that came with the racks are OK but don't have any intro describing what you're doing. I had a bit of trouble with the rear bar screws being too tight so I used another screw to thread it first so it would go in easier... but I don't have any power tools.

Thanks for this , I'm currently fitting these racks (in between the rain showers ) and this was helpful in stopping me overthink as usual . However it is winter here now so not prime biking weather so I'll have time to get them sorted before they have to carry much gear ! Cheers from Kaihu , Kaipara , New Zealand .

Setup looks great! I've been considering the same Givi racks (I like how narrow they are compared to the Tusk) but I already have the Tusk rear rack and by the looks of the rear Givi mount it doesn't look like it would work with the Tusk rack. Still may give them a try and see if I can make the Tusk rack work or just remove it when I want to use the pannier racks.

Yeah I don't think the tusk tail carrier would work because the Givi panniers and tail rack re-use the original grab handles....

I really like the looks and the support of the givi products. I guess I would have started with them in the first place had I known about them. I was ignorant though...The good old milwaukee m12 fuel 3/8" drive....

Did you say you put spacers in betweeen the bottom peg screws and the spacers? I installed it on my identical bike and the bottom peg was clearly not made to go in the Alaskan Pannier Cases (Givi)

You need monokey cases not the other style that givi makes.

How much weight did you add?

The total bike weight per the owners manual is well over 750 pounds so whatever I add does not concern me at all. This is not a bike setup for racing. The more weight I add to the bike the smoother it rides as it is designed for it.

​@@davidray4128 The bike's kerb weight (incl. 14,5 litres fuel) is exactly 390 lbs. These side cases add around 20 lbs total weight.

Once again the huge benefit to youtube is you can watch the video at any speed you want. My subs have been doing this for years when they want more in depth views of what I am doing. Aside from the that instructions that come with the kits are very detailed.
