**checkpoint** I am sitting at the table in my studio apartment. I just finished a salad bowl from chipotle. I'm a newlywed. It's been a little over a month. My wife is sitting on the bed, also with a bowl of chipotle. I have been working as a technician for a few weeks now. The company I left, like the state I left, to be with my wife, was full of risks. I am happy with how the cards been delt. My career is looking bright and promising. My wife and I are looking at having kids in the next year.

Checkpoint. After many years of trying to find contentment and get the balance right in life, I feel like I've finally got there ... in my fourth decade on the planet. :) That's not to say everything's perfect. But I have achieved a very pleasant state where I am open to love, to intimacy, I am confident, spiritually centered, love my family, have a good job and just bought a house of my own. The hard part for me in life was achieving that balance, and it has taken many years of thought and hard work ... and some luck. Keep working on yourself and be kind to yourself and others. You'll get there too.

It's been a while since I last checked, but from what I understand someone posted an hour-long loop of Stickerbush Symphony a while ago and people used the comments section to talk about their declining mental health or anything else in life that was bothering them. It was pretty wholesome how it became a safe space for people needing to vent, and as it grew more popular people started referring to it as a checkpoint.

This is incredible. When I listen to this, I remember when I was little and used to play Sonic, kid chameleon and golden axe 3 with my older cousin. My dad told me when I was younger I would put the Super Nintendo on and just pause on some of the levels while I play with my toys and Lego's, but mostly I would just vibe and chill out to the music! Now I do the same but with studying.

Im prolly gonna start the checkpoint then. Gon be honest, shits been hitting the fan for me, stress been through the roof, I’m starting to get paranoid and I’ve been over panicking, hell with what horrid past I had, I can not stop feeling shame on what I did. And it’s constantly been pulling me down too, sometimes I think to myself that I deserve the hate but at times I also think not. When I socialize with friends I put on a mask. I don’t wanna ruin their fun, but sometimes that mask shatters too, hell I remember once just randomly starting to sob for 2 hours and let loose months of negative thoughts. But with that it gives me an idea. I have to find a way to shatter the mask more and more easily, to a point I don’t even have one anymore and I actually open up without pushing myself.
