Stihl 010 AV Chainsaw reresection

This week we get to work on two chainsaws.
The end goal is to make one good unit out of the two but there are a few interesting twists along the way

Been given one, won't start, looks fairly good, but not been run for 30 years. Told it was bought in 1987.

I would be checking spark first mate. It may have points ignition and if it does they will need a clean.

@@HarpersShedthe white saw is a later model. It has electronic breakerless ignition. The orange saw is older and has points. Both have a magneto. Good work getting it running again!

Thanks mate, it turned out to be a good little saw for me but I think I will strip my one down and put a set of rings and crank seals in it. Runs well but loses power when it gets hot. Glad you liked the video mate.

I’m cleaning my o11 now , took throttle cable off , can’t recall to which hole it goes back onto to carb. All vids skip this part , I know it’s hard to get it back on .

It's the middle hole or the second one away from the trigger. I just tore mine down literally yesterday, an old 011 from I'm guessing the 90s

Get an electric saw. These 40cc type saws are perfect candidate for replacement with new stuff. Give the 2 stroke to the kid down the street.
