Remember watching this movie at around 13, Im a big movie nerd but this alwayz has a place in my my movies hart. This song is 1 that will always be with me ( if you can understand that ) I struggled with school and its followed me into adulthood, listening to this track almost 25 years later still makes me hope. Deeply sorry for your loss, my on and off girlfriend pasted... 3 years ago and I find Im still trying to find some sort of life after. Hope you have.

As a musician, one of the many who gave his life to the craft and never made it, this movie filled me with the sadness of what might have been. The musical scenes and scenarios are very real. Especially the gig in Holland where the band tanked. They had the wrong audience, a bunch of kids, and were almost laughed off the stage. Personally, I have had my band thrown off the stage before we even got through the first song. Not because we were bad but because the bass player was too stoned to play. I have been booed off the stage. I have had gigs where they didn't pay me. I have had expensive gear stolen. Had someone turn off the power to the stage mid set. Ah, the joys of Rock n' Roll . . . still I chased it. Now I am 57 and only gig occasionally. I just watched this movie for the 2nd time and it made me a little melancholy, but at the same time I had to smile. This is one great movie.

Watched this movie when it first came out. Watched it several times since. My dad and brother died in 2011 within the space of two weeks to cancer. Both were buried together. When I would go to their gravestone I would talk to them and leave it with “the flame still burns” as I walked away. Gets to me every time. My mum died in February of this year, was cremated and ashes buried just above them in the same place. The flame still burns mum. Love you and miss you ❤

This was played at my dads funeral March 2013. I first discoved this whilst I was in a band between the ages of 13-15. I showed it to my Dad and ever since watching it on VHS, we loved it an never tired from watching it together, laughing all the way through an welling up at the end. What a great film, the best era of music for sure. Something that'll stay with me for the rest of my days. Love you Dad R.I.P.

The older you grow the more you get to understand the depth in the words you first heard with young ears. The blackest of comedy has tragedy at its heart & you feel a desperate need to see everybody reach their goal. Laughing at the scenes despite the twists of fate that conspire to frustrate the main characters . Theres a little of all our lives played out in this film which is why it resonates to much .That combined with some fine cameos and decent soundtrack . Last scene is very touching and poignant

100% agree my uncle introduced this film to me when I was just coming into my teens. I thought it was funny and liked the music. hJYIRI GKK Well, they’re different; spinal tap was a slapstick comedy and this is more light comedy-drama. But in terms of rock mockumentaries I think this has more heart and soul more character depth better better characters spinal tap is just silly & funny but more like an hour and a half SNL sketch. I guess they’re different it’s like comparing apples and oranges. For laughs maybe spinal tap but for heart soul and story - still crazy.

I live a life that's surreal Where all that I feel I am learning Oh life, has been turned on the lathe Reshaped with a flame that's still burning And in time, it's all a sweet mystery When you shake the trees of temptation Yeah and I, I know the fear and the cost Of a paradise lost in frustration And the flame still burns It's there in my soul for that unfinished goal And the flame still burns From a glimmer back then It lights up again in my life In my life, yeah I, I want my thoughts to be heard The unspoken words of my wisdom Today, as the light starts to flow Tomorrow who knows who will listen But my life has no language in love No word from above is appearing Oh the time, in time there's a fire that's stoked With a reason of hope and believing And the flame still burns It's there in my soul for that unfinished goal And the flame still burns From a glimmer back then It lights up again in my life In my life, yeah Keep rolling keep that flame still burning Keep on rolling while the world keeps turning Yeah, keep a'rolling Yeah, keep a'rolling, yeah And the flame still burns It's there in my soul for that unfinished goal And the flame still burns From a glimmer back then It lights up again in my life In my life, yeah

It's too bad we all must grow old one day and our dreams playing music have to fade. The girl in this movie is beautiful and she reminds of being young with my wife and in love. This movie and this particular song bring back all of the memories of having Hopes and Dreams and Love in your life. This kind of music is what I remember.
