Hands down the best comedy to come out of the UK. The ferocious Glaswegian banter is epic, and I’m as English as they come. This has been a huge part of my life. So glad you guys enjoy it too. Love from across the Pond 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

First off, a fellow Canadian here from BC, and I love your reactions guys. Still Game will forever be a bittersweet reminder of my wife who I lost nearly 8 years ago to cancer when we were both 49. We were first introduced to the show in 2006 when we were visiting her Uncle in Chryston, Scotland, just northeast of Glasgow. We spent part of our honeymoon in Scotland in 1997, and had been 5 times in all, so all the Scottish patter and banter in Still Game warms my heart as much as it makes me laugh. When she was undergoing chemo, I'd have a couple of Still Game episodes loaded on our tablet for her to watch, knowing it would be a great distraction. I also remember how excited I was to learn they were reviving the show in 2016 after 9 years away. She died in December, 2016 -- but we were able to watch season 7 together before she passed. Ironic that. A show about two widowers, and now I'm one myself...

You will not stop laughing through out every episode of Still Game, It's Top class comedy from start to end, You get everything from laughs to heart wrenching moments. It's a comedy you can never get board of. Big Brad-bra loves the comedy Lucy 🤣😂

Keep in mind, in Scotland we all speak English, but we mix it with the sister language which is called "Scots". So that, along with the thicker Glaswegian accents, it does tend to make it more difficult. People just think it's the accent that trips them up, but it truth it's more. Glad you're enjoying it though

You're in for a treat with this series- it's one of the funniest series I've ever seen - I'm in the north of England so the accent is easy for me .This series gets better and better as is goes on .Double -deckers - I've grown up with them all my life - it must be a treat to ride the top deck is you've never done so .- save up and come to the UK - the humour is everywhere - as are the double deckers .

About the accent and the Scots dialogue, when Jack and Victor are waiting at the bus stop, and Jack says "They've gied us the dissy" he's basically saying "They've stood us up". I think "working at a banned club in the toon, firing ping pong balls right oot the duff!" was pretty self explanatory, and from your reaction, I think you got that one just fine. 😂

It's easy to forget that the actors, were a lot younger than their pensioner characters. The make up is so believable. This show only gets better with each episode....imo

Wait until you hear people from Shetland. It's a mix of the Scottish accent and Scandinavian. They have their own language - Norn. They have words that don't appear anywhere else in the British Isles, just like Scots has words that don't appear in English.
