You are right Chrislinsdy, the wisdom of the ancestors should never be doubted.Petroleum jelly and other vaselines worked wonders before. If they are toxic now it's because of what has been added. Your hair will speak to you when it needs moisture and lubrication. Texture, lack luster, brittleness. Trust your intuition as well.❤

I absolutely love the beautiful words you use in the front of your videos, speaking on the virtues of haircare. I strongly look at African hair care as a spiritual practice. It requires patience and love to care for it. Our CROWN! And we live in situations that are the antithesis of patience, love and care, and that tell us who we are naturally as Africans is wrong, and that our hair is a problem. I believe if Black people came to love their natural hair, as a people, it would positively affect us socially and ultimately economically. We will come to expect an environment conducive and in support of our natural selves, aligning us with our Creator. I know words like this seem idealistic, but if we think about, it’s simply asking us to love ourselves, trust our creator... a way of "seeking the kingdom... and all these things will be added onto you". The more Africans deny themselves, cover their crowns in other people's hair, plastic hair, straightening and running away from themselves, the more they are exemplifying they do NOT trust the creator and have succumbed to the will of man, which is unwise.

"No leave-in, No butter🙄" i dont get that at all. I never even dreamt on jumping on that kind of trend because my hair would not be where it is today without oils and butter. Jumping on trends can be very very disastrous if not careful. I am saying this from my own experience and i learnt my lessons the hard way.

Can you organise your videos into a playlist so we can find what we need example. Group your videos Styling, Washing, Drying, Moisturising, Detangling, Fix Hair Concerns etc. thanks in advance. I have a toddler her hair is extremely dry, brittle and fragile. I try to maintain a routine abc that’s washing once a week. But the water hair in the UK is hard so I think I will try to 2-4 weeks before hair wash. I find Shea butter doesn’t moisturise her hair. You can pour all the oil and butter in her hair but the next day it’s dry. But I do notice that lanolin moisturise hair but leaves a build up on the hair. She has very thin stringy 4c hair. Any advice on how to grow her hair and get it thick. I loose a lot of hair in the bathroom mostly around my temple and front. I have 3c hair. When I blow dry my hair it sheds even more.

Basically you take care of your hair the same way someone who's natural would...only difference is you have two different textures so you most likely don't have the luxury of wearing your hair out... Keeping your hair in protective styles is what will help you manage the new growth. So after full treatment on wash day(detangle, cleanse, deep condition, Tea rinse, moisturise and seal)...you put your hair in protective style till your next wash day. Don't neglect your hair in the PS.

@lindsaychrisharmony3 ай бұрын
If you get less breakage taking your hair down dry, then that's probably what your hair prefers. If you haven't tried taking it down using a conditioner that has slip...like a leave in Conditioner with good slip, you can try that as well and see how it goes

Hair grows daily, if you arent seeing length its breaking off faster than it grows.
@inspirationwithnicoleАй бұрын
ALL hair grows including natural black hair. As long as you’re alive your hair grows, unless you have a severe underlying health condition that causes the hair to have stunted growth. Now, retaining length is probably what you’re not getting, your hair is probably breaking off just as fast as it grows, so look at how you manipulate your hair and how you moisturise. Also, hair grows from the inside, check your nutrition.
