That’s fantastic Peter 🤟 I’m glad you enjoy the films but what you’ve achieved is solely down to your own hard work, well done 👏👏❤️

Thanks for the mention Alex, great attachment the tiltrotator, just takes a bit of practice, our low loader drivers getting used to it now

No worries Mark, first go on one this year and I couldn’t quite get it to hitch sideways so I thought discretion was the better part of valour 🤦🏻♂️😉🤙

Hello Alex love watching your videos you make it look so easy would you mind telling me how heavy is your tractor unit and is that lift axle a drive axle appreciate you taking the time to make those videos take care 👍👏
@Stillgotallmyfingers3 күн бұрын
Thank you, my films are just my hobby I always appreciate it if other people take the time to watch and enjoy them To answer your question, the tare weight of the whole combination is 27,000 kgs (kerb weight) We didn’t weigh the unit but this combination is 700 kgs lighter than with the old R520 The rear axle lifts and is a selectable double drive, both rear axles are on air and the tractor is plated to 100 tonnes but in practice we remain in scope of STGO 2 Thank you for getting in touch 🤟

Great video would love to spend a week with you so I could learn how to reverse like excellent work 💪
@Stillgotallmyfingers4 күн бұрын
Thank you, if it helps, when I started out I struggled with reversing terribly so much so I got put on an old Leyland Freighter (4 wheel flatbed) it’s in that lorry I learned my trade Stay calm, concentrate and think about what you’re doing not what you think people think you should be doing 🤙

Hi Alex ,how often do you have to have your chains etc inspected !!
@Stillgotallmyfingers4 күн бұрын
Interesting question, our chains aren’t tested except lifting gear so there must be a reason why not, given the pace of our work binders and straps would do well to last a year We never scrimp on any securing gear and replacement or extra gear is provided on request without question so it certainly isn’t a cost issue To add, on the rare occasions that I’ve stopped by the authorities they’ve never asked me either Thank you for your question Keith 🤙

Another cracking video Alex. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't think I'm being arsey but how come you had a strap over the boom on the 40ton but then chain later in the video (225)?
@Stillgotallmyfingers4 күн бұрын
Not at all Wes, sometimes if the dipper is sitting steeply the chain works loose but on the occasion of the 936 I had the strap handy and the boom reaches over a metre through the ramps I’m always happy to answer questions and I certainly wouldn’t take offence from such a reasonable one like yours 🤙
@wesadkins94094 күн бұрын
@Stillgotallmyfingers you see! That happens to me if I chain midway on the boom, these videos are more than just content. They're gold for the likes of me, still learning the game 👏

Hi alex great video plant yard looks very empty, that case was a disgrace, but I noticed on mine it squirts mud up through track pad holes real bad in slop but I clean mine everyday ,oh and the boing ring paint burnt off mine too,proper machine the volvo my favourite miles better than the case I've got had volvo 1455 before case 130 e

Thank you Colin, it’s been proper busy with lots of tackle staying out on hire for ages That CX was a proper mess and I thought it worthwhile to show the effort Oli and Alex put in every day, our Ops would get in serious trouble for leaving a machine like that and a customer would find it expensive too I like the Volvos, we had two 145’s too but I think they went to B&W, I’ve not seen them in ages 🤙
@Smokey19704 күн бұрын
You make a perfect point how that so called operator never killed anyone with the state of that machine and windows. At what point should it become a supervisor’s liability too if the operator has no ethics?
@Stillgotallmyfingers4 күн бұрын
I think it’s like bad driving on the roads, if you don’t care it’s not relevant, until the situation becomes a little bit too relevant..🤦🏻♂️
