Magnifique message d'espoir dans le contexte de guerre froide de 1986. Interprétée à Moscou, cette chanson raisonne fort .... Merci M. Gorbachev, de ce que vous avez fait pour l' humanité !

This performance is full of quotes from Stravinsky and Prokofiev, I believe I also heard Shostakovich in there as well.

*THE IMPORTANT WORD IS **_"TOO"!_* "The Russians love their children too." -- emphasis on the word _"too"._ Because, well, of course *_we_* love *_our_* children, and we would never willingly endanger them. **crickets** ...Right? It's only *_Them_* we need to worry about. **more crickets** ...Right? -- (Ref. Patrick Stewart's story about Ian McKellen's suggestion about _MacBeth:_ "'Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow' -- the important word is _'and'."_ If you haven't seen it, look it up, it's worth it.)

Amazing orchestral interpretation. The intro is the music of the coronation scene from the opera "Boris Godunov" by Mussorgsky, and later there are hints of "dance of thr knights" by Prokofiev himself along with his Lieutenant Kijé

+Sergio Skv From the Lieutenant Kije Suite, I think it is called in English. Prokofiev is a wonderful composer, but so are many other great Russian composers as well.
