This is exactly what I was looking for. I understand the darts...and shaping....but I didn't understand how they got it from the dummy to a pattern. So seeing him draw on the fabric and then make the adjustments ....and the end where you lay it flat and cut it into pieces...and redraw it with seam allowances.....I understood ! So cool. New sewer...learningn lots just by watching. Going to give it a try tomorrow. Hi from Canada.

Jacqui Sample I know.....I really do film very lucky! Remember, if you have a Friend it's better to have it done on yourself and then you can do it on them. The beauty of this technique is that very few of us are completely symmetrial and work in 1 half at a time then join together down the centre back and fronts. More to come..... Tree x

Beverly Hughes Aw....that's ok Beverly I take it you've seen the 4 other videos of Shingo on our channel? What's important is not only the totally perfect fit but imagine the tge new style lines you can create! But .. usually you have to stick to the golden rules of touching definitely the bust dart point and other dart points (unless you do forming which is a bit more involved). I have 2 more of these Moulage to share, the sleeve and a beautiful coat one. ... Have fun. Tree X

This is interesting, but he starts with a ready made form. It is not much use unless your body is exactly the same as the form. For me the hard part is getting patterns that fit my body, not some model's.

Denise Chevalier I understand but you get someone to do it on you and you on them. I did it on Claudette and she did it on me. We wore a tight black top and used the masking tape to tape to the top. It's so easy that you can get an inexperienced friend to do it but follow exactly what he does and only use decorator's masking tape. Tree x

Seeing how he moves darts around. You could pin fit a muslin by pulling the back tight and making all your adjustments in the front where you can reach to pin. Then take it off and move your adjustments to the back. Then stuff this sloper or cut it from stiff foam or cardboard to make a dummy.
