Don't know if this has been mentioned in the comments, but horsetail and bamboo Doc speaks of in this video are higher in silica than most other plants. Silica is good for the skin, hair, nails and bones. I use Biosil drops added to water twice daily. Stopped using them for about 2 years and wow did it make a (bad) difference😅. Back using them again and after 3 months started noticing a change in my skin, its been 5 months altogether 😢now and im noticing fewer ridges in the new nail growing in at its base. Too soon for hair! Food sources of silica are greenbeans, grains (which I avoid), cucumber. But the silica they contain isnt as bioavailable as the form in Biosil. Ok, thats my two cents! Thx Doc for another informative video! 🎉

Hi Dr. Kappel! Just a thought as I was "listening" to collagen and absorbtion; I wondered if having the "leaky gut" would actually help the vital parts get into the blood stream? It would actually work in our favor. I have Collagenese Colitis, which, as you know, is a disorder that actually causes the body to create more collagen in the colon, as to protect itself from inflammation. After a recent Cecal Volvulus ( part of my lg colon twisted around completely cutting off my blood supply!) transit time has gone from wildly fast to snail slow. Many women have a lifetime of things like IBS, and "leaky gut". I would be curious to know if your patients or women on here, find that they actually absorb supplement better? Crazy, I know. I find that collage, does indeed work on my nails, and hair growth the best. I have no idea if my skin is intact for the age of sixty? I think I am average?But, I do find supplements almost overpower my system, and remain in my body much longer, enough to make me sick! So, back to the question or thought rather, Do supplements work for women with intestinal and transit problems, like they do with me? Thank you for all you do! Deaf Betsy x ( Formally an LA woman)

I found it so interesting to hear that Accutane in super low doses is great for the longevity of the skin at any age and regardless of acne. Can you still use topical retinoids when taking low dose Accutane?

For marine collagen I use purple sea moss, I consume two tablespoons spoons daily. Purple sea moss paradise is a company I trust. Do not boil it I just rinse it 4x then soak and blend until gel like. Not too much water when blending . It takes a little while to mix.

I also found your mention of molecular hydrogen very interesting and my quick google search showed that it could be beneficial for people with psoriasis. I'd love to figure out a way to bathe in it or use as a facial mist, but only found one japanese company which makes tablets to put into water for bathing. The oral molecular hydrogen I found appears to be made of 80mg of magnesium. If I already take magnesium, I wonder if I'm getting the same benefits?

Love Vitamin C and Astaxanthin benefits to my skin, however, both trigger IC flares. Menopause and it's accompanying issues are the worst!

What are IC flares?
@nanetteniece4635 Жыл бұрын
@@amskincare792 IC stands for Interstitial Cystitis, it feels like the intense pain of a bladder infection but it isn't a bladder infection. An IC flare is when the offending food, spice or supplement increase the intense pain, urgency and leaks.

I love the idea of using liner for shadow. I have hooded eyelids and it aways creases. Do you recommend a base that doesn’t crease?

Dr. Stefani would you please recommend a brand for a B Complex ? I have a sensitive tummy and many B Comlexes cause me to have nausea even taking it with a meal. Also, what brand of Resveratrol do you like? Thank you so much for your invaluable information; you are so wise and a delight to listen to. JESUS bless you Dr. Stefani. Much love. 💗🕊💐✝️

I too wish you would tell us your specific brands -- let people make up their own minds and deal with their budgets, there are zillions of brands out there and who has time to read all the ingredients, etc. ? I remember a Consumer Report that said over 75% vitamins didn't even absorb, the brands were no good and gave us 'expensive pee' so please feel free to tell us YOUR preferences and know that people will choose what they want anyhow. Thanks for not being sponsored, so many KZbinrs have sold out.
