To sum this video up: The stock Engie loadout is really good. The stock shotgun is a solid damage dealer that is almost always reliable. The pistol is good for finishing off people and is used for people that don't have the best aim. The stock wrench is a reliable weapon that doesn't rely on any bleed, boost, or spam.

As a battle engineer who uses stock shotgun and pistol (only gunslinger is the non stock weapon) it’s great to see someone who understands how amazing stock is and you don’t have to rely off of some ammo return mechanic or crit because of your sentrys’ (sentries’?) (sentrys?) camp kills.

Out of curiosity, which class in the game has the best default loadout for competitive? Soldiers usually need gunboats, heavies need the sandvich: exc. I'd guess scout needs the fewest unlocks to be consistently successful.

Stock Engi, Pyro and Spy are the most fun loadouts ever. Also you NEED and i mean FUCKING NEED to use dispensers as body armor. Its so hilarious. Make a bind that lets you build a dispencer and if a soldier-demo is hunting you down, build the disp. while the projectile is about to hit you. It will actually completely negate all damage (AND splash) from it due to the way splash works, and you can block half of the classes clip and shoot him back while doing that disp dance, you can resist 3 pipes-rockets with this tactic - I tried it and its awesome (This works the best with classes that fire slowly but do a lot of dmg, even if the dispenser is 1 hp, it will stop that thing.)
