I saw my friend once play PS4 Battlefield 4 on map with big antenna radar in the ground like and I thought to myself "I have to play that", but my laptop couldn't take it then. I got one that could just now to play 2042 and I was blown away by distance I could snipe and how many people were there, also I am not a fan of historic setups so jetpacks and railguns are totally ok. I joined just after Lis Season so I think it was second and I was having so much fun even outages and one whole patch of not being able to start the game didn't bother me. It's physical and feels like every bullet is an object. Maps weren't that big if you knew how to summon a vehicle and like 800m headshots demand it. I bought the game after a jacksfrags video about performance issues that made hits non registered at close distances being supposedly gone and it felt fine. Or maybe I blame myself too much of missing, I don't know, I am too busy winching myself with a grappling hook onto what you're inside of. Because I didn't play previous games I missed whole drama with Specialists/Classes, I played McKay that still could have a bazooka, but switch to Classed Specialists was also a treat because I've gotten one more gadget, which was a SPH, a sticky grenade launcher that I could almost snipe people hundreds of meters away, like an artillery with flat trajectory. This game was a way of saying if what you have in hand is shotgun, you can snipe with it too. And then railgun came, which was pinpoint oneshot to the head, with charging time. And then offhand shotgun. There was chaos and in regards to weapons sometimes it almost felt like Borderlands. 2042 just became my game, I mostly play Conquest 128 because of sheer mass of people rolling through something like Exposure. I feel sorry for people who played previous games and this one became like almost a political thing about Specialists and Classes and even if it's still not "a true Battlefield game", it certainly went on with times with Specialists thing for sure, but one thing can be agreed upon by anyone - now it is a piece of some great refactoring of the game, something that should be just fun. And yeah, team that made lore in that game hopefully wasn't too big because I've been playing it for couple years and I have no idea about it whatsoever.

BF5 was underrated. The manual leaving and movement was a perfect balance. If they just reskinned BF5 to a modern Battlefield, with modern weapons, it would be BEAUTIFUL.

BFV is way way WAY better than 2042. Bfv is underrated big time. Movement is great. Destruction is amazing, and gunplay is balanced. Sucks they abandoned bfv

You shouldn't be able to change directions mid slide. The direction you are moving when the slide is initiated, is the direction you will remain moving until the slide animation has ended. My $.02.

Worst part is that bf2042 is the best shooter to play now on console (take player base in consideration too, otherwise old bf). Warzone sucks ass, cod mp sucks ass too. Xdefiant sucks ass too. Battlefield is at least fun. So much technology and not a single proper mp game around

They don't support communication between players... chat is almost censored, if you talk something more spicy than normal twice they shadowban you. This game needs a general that can speak to everyone at all times but can be voted out. Two platoons: one defense, other attack. And generals need to be able to sit on a “control tower” and like some RTS draw attack lines on red and blue lines for hold. Being past 64 players, this game needs to control their armies and give them some sort of general sense of what their teammates are doing. Maybe some on screen system that recognizes great advances as a team, or indicating a time for strategic defense and regroup. Planetside2 has lots of solutions for high number problematics.

They have to make it live service, the days of paying for DLC map packs are long gone, the vast majority of players are not going to buy them even if they were paid. Splitting the playerbase is bad for business.

@@witcherjohn3440 I have a 3070 ti and 5800X, I get between 150 and 180 frames on all low most of the time, the game runs fine, but it still feels it's being restricted by something. 2042 has always had problems, then you add the broken mouse input on top of that and the game feels atrocious when you know exactly what to look and feel for. The game can feel fine to anyone unfamiliar with the nitty gritty bugs and problems.

@@witcherjohn3440 I don't think my PC has issues, but yesterday while playing the Rush XL event mode thing, I was dropping down to 50 frames on Discarded. 128 players always ran like ass but it had never been that bad. Went back to regular servers and frames were fine again.

2042 is the biggest pos ever made and it fied and lost 90% of the REAL fsns after only 2 weeks. Just the trash noobs left complaining about ttk and how op vehicles are
